Day 91 of OBO... Packing...

Today was a very slack but boring day... It was the same as yesterday and the day before and the day before... Yup... Sigh...

I woke up at around 0815hrs... That's also when you called... We spoke for a few minutes before we had to hang up 'cause I needed to get ready for work and you needed to get sleep after your watch... Well, I went to wash up and then left the house at around 0900hrs for work... I walked out, caught the bus and reached work at around 0950hrs...

I walked into office, turned on the radio and my work station and then went to fill the mini fountain in the office and water our almost dead plants... Well, according to Colin, those two are for feng shui... Anyway, after that, I stared at my computer screen not knowing what to do... There was nothing to do at all... All I had to do was clear out the spam emails... Well, when my colleague came in, he asked me to prepare a delivery order and an invoice for a client... And that was it... Nothing after that...

Well, to kill time for the rest of the day, I carried on with your scrapbook... I did the cover page today... After that, I got down to making more of my Christmas presents... Well I managed to finish two thirds of it... So that's good... At least there'll be less to do when I get back from my mission trip...

Well, I left the office at around 1750hrs... I walked over to your place to get your letters... More bills... Sigh... Anyway, after that, I went to meet my mum, grandmother and auntie at Chinatown... OG was having a sale and Mum asked if I wanted to get the dress I was eyeing the last time... Well I went down to check it out... But for some reason, it looked kinda weird... It seemed empty on the top... So I decided not to get it... After that, we walked across to the hawker centre for dinner... I had Char Kway Teow... Well it's not bad... But I'm feeling the effects of the MSG now... So not good...

After dinner, we hopped onto the train and headed home... We alighted at Sengkang and caught a cab home... Dropped my grandmother off and then we were the last to get off... My auntie went off earlier... Anyway, Mum and I reached home at around 2030hrs... Well I had things to settle for my mission trip, which starts tomorrow by the way... So anyway, I went up to my room, put my things down, and then came here to blog... Well, I've got to go now... Got to wash up and get down to packing my bag for tomorrow... So till then... I love you baby!!! Miss you lots!!!!

Day 90 of OBO... Happy 13th Monthsary

Today is our 13th month together as a couple... Well, as compared to the previous months, today was crap... Well, the reason is very simple... When you called, you said that there's a rumour going around saying that OBO will be extended... And it doesn't help that the FLO does not know anything!!!!! That is SHIT!!! So I'm hoping and praying really hard that it just stays as a rumour... Work today was boring... Same as yesterday... Only difference - I was the only one in the office... Colin's away on business and Sat's off 'cause he was working late on a project last night... So yuppies...

I woke up at around 0815hrs this morning... I decided to sleep in a bit longer and wash up at around 0830hrs... But that was the time you called... So, no choice, we could only speak for a very short while and I told you to call me back 30 minutes later... After washing up, I walked out to the bus stop to catch the bus to work... Well, the bus came really quickly... So that's good... Well, just as I was about to alight from the bus at the stop outside my office, you called... That was an hour and a half later... But I shan't complain... You still called...

Well, you 'walked' me to my office... That was a first... When I reached the office, I turned on my PC and the radio and just stared at the screen after that... Apart from amending a PO, there was nothing else to do! And it remained that way for the entire day! Oh well... But I kinda like the peace and quiet when no one's around...

Anyway, thank God you were able to use the phone then... So at least I had you to keep me company for a good part of the morning... anticipating the imminent boredom, I brought your scrapbook along to do... Well, I pasted the articles, got down to the layout and also got started on the binding... Well, the whole book will be hand made... Right down to the binding... So I really hope you'll like it... What I need to do next is just to get the cover page and the various subtitles and content page done.. And that should be it... Well, I'm hoping it turns out good...

I left the office at around 1800hrs to go to SGH to see my granddad... He's doing much better now... All that needs to happen now is for his blood count to reach 1.7 before he can be discharged... Well, after that, mum, my grandma, my uncle and I went for dinner at Ka-Soh... It's this Chinese seafood restaurant... The food was alright... After dinner, we caught a cab home...

Mum and I reached home at around 2100hrs... Well, I rested for a while and then went to bathe... After that, I came online to do the usual stuff - check my mail and blog... Well, that's it for today... Super boring... Anyway, I'm going to get some stuff done for the scrapbook 'cause I wouldn't have time when I get home... So till then... Good night... Sleep tight... Day 89 of OBO... Sianz...

Like yesterday, today was super boring... As usual, there was nothing to do... OK... Maybe there was something... I was busy finding things to keep myself occupied... Well you'll find out later in this blog entry...

I woke up at around 0830hrs this morning... I went to wash up and left the house at around 0905hrs... I walked out to the bus stop, and just as I was about to cross the road, my bus left... Well, the next bus 10minutes later... I reached office at around 1000hrs...

When I reached office, I started up my work station and the radio... After starting it up, I went to check the company email... There were only 2 emails of importance... The rest of it were spam mail... After clearing out the emails, I went to amend a PO, keyed in the payroll stuff and that was it for the rest day... By 1030hrs, I had nothing to do... And it was like that for the rest of the day...

Well, to keep myself occupied, I went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to apply for the position of Foreign Service Office... After I filled out the application, BNP Paribas called about my application to HR... Well, I won't say anything at this point... But we'll find out in due time... After that, I went to the International Court of Justice website to read about the Pedra Blanca hearings... Well, a decision has yet to be made on who has sovereignty over the island... After that, I had my lunch... As just I finished my tomato, you called... Well, after lunch, I made my Christmas presents... Well, I managed finish everything... After that, I went to surf facebook... That was basically my day in the office... Bored to death!

I left the office at around 1800hrs to go to church for rehearsals... Rehearsals today were very fruitful... We managed to run through the whole musical twice... So fun... I can't wait for the combined rehearsal... It's a shame that I can't make it for the first one next week... Oh well... Anyway, rehearsals ended at around 2115hrs...

I caught the 2130hrs bus home and reached at around 2200hrs... I had a bit to eat first before going to wash up... After washing up, I came online to clear out my emails and after that, came here to blog... So that's my boring day... It's going to be even worse tomorrow with nothing to do at all... Oh well... Day 88 of OBO.. Hospital...

Today was the same as yesterday... Nothing much throughout the whole day... It's only in the evening when there were things to do... So yup...

I woke up at around 0800hrs to take your call... We spoke for about half an hour when I had to go and wash up while you had to go and sleep... After I washed up, I left the house for work... I had to go on my own as Colin worked late last night... I managed to catch the 0915hrs bus and reached work at 0950hrs with soaking wet shoes because it rained just as reached the bus stop at my work place...

The minute I reached office, I took off my shoes and socks to dry... After that, I started up my computer and the radio... There was nothing to do at all...All there was to be done was just to clear out the spam mail, reply a few emails and also prepare a few invoices, purchase orders and quotes here and there... Well that was really my work day...

To kill time, I was playing mahjong on my PSP again... I still cannot figure out how to game... And I can't read Japanese for nuts! So I don't know their rules... After a while, I got very irritated by it... Well I went onto Facebook to clear out stuff and 'buy' people... After a while, I got bored of that too... Oh well... It's shitty when you have nothing to do...

I left office at around 1830hrs to go to SGH... That's 'cause my granddad's warded in there 'cause he was bleeding from the rectum... So they're running tests and everything now to make sure that it's not cancer and there's nothing else wrong... Well, I reached the hospital at around 1900hrs and I met mum, dad and popo there... We left the hospital at around 1930hrs and headed to Cricket Club for dinner... I had a medium rare steak sandwich with a glass of white wine... And a piece of chocolate fudge bar to finish off the meal... The wine was good... Although I'd prefer it a bit sweeter and fruitier...

We left the club at around 2135hrs... We sent my grandmother home first before heading home... We reached home at around 2200hrs... I went to wash up and then came online... Talked to 陆瑶 (Miss China Young International 2006 and my roommate during the Miss Young International 2006 pageant last year in Manila?) for a while and then went to clear out my email... Day 87 of OBO... Bored to death

Today was a very boring day... I had nothing to do for the majority of the day... And this gets to me 'cause I get very very restless...

Anyway, you called at around 0750hrs this morning... We spoke for about 20minutes before you had to go off for your watch... After that, I went back to sleep and woke up at around 0920hrs... Went to bathe and then got ready for work... After that, I went to wait for Colin to come... While waiting, I was playing mahjong on my PSP... I can't understand a single word 'cause everything is in Japanese! So right now I'm just trying to figure out everything...

Colin came at around 1145hrs... We detoured to the petrol station before heading to work... We reached office at around 1215hrs... Well, I got down to clearing out the emails... A hell lot of spam mail... After that, I entered some bills into the accounting software and then had nothing else to do after that... Well, thank god I brought my PSP... So I ended up playing mahjong again... Sigh..

I left office at around 1830hrs to meet Garry and Shirley at Raffles Place... I met Garry first and we then went to Shirley's office to pick her up... We then went to a Hokkien cuisine restaurant along Kitchener Road for dinner... It was scrumptious... The food was good... The yam and the prawns and the lor mee was the best I've had so far... And the egg plant with pork floss was yum yum... Well, maybe I'm a bit biased 'cause egg plant's my favourite vegetable... But it was excellent... I'll bring you there when you get home... And you, my dear yam lover, will fall in love with the taste of the yam... LOL...

After dinner, we went to their new place... It is BE-A-U-TIFUL!!! Really cosy... And they've got an absolutely gorgeous dining area and master bedroom + walk-in wardrobe with dressing area... Oh my gosh... I feel so so excited for them... And of course I'm even more looking forward to getting our own little cosy place... Ohhh... It's so exciting... Haha...

Well, after the 'tour' of their flat, we headed home... Just as I reached home, you called... Well, we spoke for a few minutes before you had to go... Well, that's when I went to wash up... After that, I talked to mum for a while and then came online to clear out my mail... And of course, blogging followed... Well, that's pretty much it for today... Work was ABSOLUTELY boring... But after work was fun... So it's pretty alright... Oh well... Tomorrow's going to be another long long day... So till then... Good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams... Love you darling!!! Day 86 of OBO... Scrapbooking

Today was a rather slack day for me... There was nothing strenuous or tedious to be done... Even the scrapbooking class was pretty alright...

I woke up at around 1030hrs... I came online to find Mahjong for PSP again... After about an hour or so, I gave up my search... I went to wash up and then got ready to go to Wheelock Place for the scrapbooking class... After washing up, I went to have brunch... Brunch was oxtail stew... Not too bad... I left my house at around 1230hrs... Walked out to catch 70 to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station to take 162 to Orchard...

I reached Wheelock Place at around 1345hrs... Went up to the shop and then waited for class to start... That was about the time you called... Well we spoke for a bit before we had to hang up 'cause my class was starting and you were on watch... Well, class was interesting... Well I had to bring 3-4 photos... So I brought our Malacca trip photos... Well, we had to choose card stock and two pieces of pattern paper... Well I chose a black card stock, and an orange coloured with stars and a purple with hearts pattern paper... I also chose light blue lettering to make the title... Well it was really easy... I managed to finish it really quickly... And it's really beautiful... I'm thinking of doing a scrapbook of the events that have happened and will happen in our relationship... It'll be really cool... Imagine this, on our wedding day, we have our whole love story displayed... It's something which I've not seen at anyone's wedding yet...

Anyway class ended at around 1640hrs... I went down to Marks and Spencer's to get some biscuits to munch on in the office... And I saw a really beautiful trench coat which costs $150... It's the exact type I'm looking for... Every single detail is something that I envisioned... After that, I headed to 姐姐's place... Well, Kait Kait was the first one to hear me... She ran to the door and then 姐姐 followed suit... Well, 姐姐 was cooking dinner... Her chicken was super super YUMMY!!!!! Absolutely love it!!!! Anyway, when Kait Kait saw your photo on the scrapbook page, she immediately pointed and said, 'Ah Gu'... And when I asked her who was the girl in the photo, she immediately said, '阿姨'... LOL... Well I'm looking forward to that day when I'll be her 阿姨... LOL... Hint hint... Anyway, 姐姐's doing much better... The baby's also doing much better... So that's good...

I left their place at around 2210hrs... Walked to the bus stop to catch 86 home... The bus came at around 2220hrs... I reached home at around 2240hrs... Went to wash up and then came online to clear out my emails... After all that was done, I came here to blog... Well that's pretty much my day... Pretty alright, considering it's a Sunday... Anyway I've got to settle your accounts... Got to do some filing... Your bills are in again... So just making sure that your file's updated... So till tomorrow... Good night... Sleep tight... Day 85 of OBO... The Final Briefing...

It exactly 4 weeks more to your return... 3 more Saturdays and I FINALLY get to see you and hug you and kiss you... I miss you so much, Love!!! Anyway, today was a rather tiring day for me... Lots to do... But I'm alright with that...

I woke up at 0815... Well that's when you called... We talked for about half an hour before you went to sleep and I came online to find Mahjong for PSP... Well I couldn't find what I was looking for... Anyway at around 0950hrs, I went to wash up and then got ready to go for Novena...

I left my house at around 1030hrs and headed down for the 1100hrs novena... After that, I met Karen for lunch... We went to Lark Thai... The food there was not bad and they used very little MSG... But I still prefer the food at Thai Express... More tasty and more MSG too... LOL... Anyway, after lunch, we walked around the jewellery shops there to look at wedding bands... Well that's 'cause Karen's asking me to help her plan her wedding... Which would be probably be in the next 4 or so years... that I went back to Novena for the final briefing session for my mission next Saturday... Well I'm looking forward to it... For one, it means 9 days of outreach, and secondly, it means that December is here and when I come back, it'll be 2 work weeks before you arrive home!!!!! Counting down even more now!!!

Anyway, after that, I went for choir and mass... After mass, Jillian, Ariaga, Natalie (not my sister), Yenyen and I went for dinner at the Kopitiam near-by before heading back to church for Christmas practice... Well we did choreography and also stood in our positions for the carolling gigs... It came to one song when a soloist was needed as the previous soloists had already left the choir... So the conductor picked two... Well, the first name he mentioned was 'Marissa'... She's an Alto... So I thought the next name he'll call would be someone who's been in the choir for a long time... But after a short pause, he called MY name!! I was happy but shocked and 'what the hell' at the same time 'cause I had no idea how to sing that song! It was in fact my FIRST time seeing and hearing that song... Oh well... But since the decision was made, I just gave it a go... Had to sight-sing... Thank god I have music background... So that helped a GREAT deal... Well, it sounded alright... Only thing I think I was a bit out of time... A bit too fast... Oh well... What do you expect for a first time... Hehez...

Practice ended at around 2200hrs... Phyllis, Jillian and I walked to the bus stop... 163 came around 2210hrs... I reached home at around 2250hrs and then went to wash up... After that, I went to clear out my emails... Following that, I came here to blog... Well, that was pretty much my whole day... I've got to go print out some photos now for my scrap booking class tomorrow... You'll soon find out what's it for... So till tomorrow... Good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams... Day 84 of OBO... Worry....

Today was a rather boring day... There was nothing to do... It didn't start really well, but as the day progressed, it improved a tiny bit...

I woke up at 0850hrs today... The first thing I did was to check was my handphone to see if you had called... Well you didn't... Honestly, I was worried sick the whole time... It's just all that uncertainty that gets to me... It was like that until about 1410hrs... That's when you called... Anyway, I went to bathe and then went down to wait for Colin... While waiting for Colin, I was discussing with my Dad about applying to MFA as a FSO and also what to write in their form... After that, I went to read the papers... Headline news: USS Kitty Hawk denied entry... Yup... That was the first thing that caught my eye... Well the sailors on board the aircraft carrier and the other vessels that protect it could not spend the Thanksgiving holiday with their families... And to think that their families flew all the way from the US to Hong Kong just to celebrate it with them... And when the fleet finally got clearance, they were already on their way to Japan... Damn sad... Sigh... Why can't our Navy do the same... Fly us all up to Dubai or Abu Dhabi to meet you guys... Oh well... Not enough tax payers money I guess...

Anyway, Colin came at around 1150hrs... We headed to Serangoon Gardens first to drop off some cheques and also to go to the post office to get some stamps and to open the PO box... We reached office at around 1215hrs... Well there was no one in yet 'cause our colleague was on site erecting some brackets and what not for the sound system... Anyway, I started up my PC and the radio... Entered all the invoices and cheques into the accounting system and after that, there was NOTHING to do... It was like that the whole day... Or at least that was for majority of the day 'cause I had to go out to the suppliers to get some stuff... But then again, that took only 10-15minutes...

Well, during the boring period, I went to check out the SCDF website... Well I saw something which I'm very interested in... But I want to discuss it with you first... Apart from that, I literally fell asleep in the office today... That's 'cause I had nothing to do at all... I also finished a bag of Marks and Spencer's potato chips... Sigh... I tried reading my book, but that also put me to sleep... Oh well...

I left office at around 1815hrs... I walked over to your place to get your letters... I reached around 1845hrs... I stayed there till about 2000hrs... Talked to 妹妹 and helped her correct her RJ... Mum was asking if you called me and, like always, when you will be home... And your dog was just as hyper can be... When I was leaving, she ran out of the house wanting to follow me home... So cute... She's not scared of the corridor anymore...

I reached home at around 2100hrs... I came up to my room, put my bag down and then went to wash up... After that, I went down to the piano to learn my parts for the carols that the choir will be singing during carolling... Following that, I came back up to my room to wrap boxes for the choir fund-raising event tomorrow... Once that was done, I came online to blog... And that's what I've been doing since... Well, I still have a few more things to settle before I head to bed... So till tomorrow... Another long day... Good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams... Love you Baby!!!!! Miss you heaps!!!!!

Day 83 of OBO...One more month

You've started the final leg of your mission before the sail home... It's another month before you get home... The excitement is mounting and the anticipation is just too much... I, honestly, can't wait for this whole ordeal to be over... I want this whole nightmare to be over...

Like yesterday, today was just as boring... I had nothing to do the whole day... All I looked forward to was knocking off... Oh well... I hate being bored... I can't stand it when there's nothing to do... Sigh...

Anyway, I woke up at 0830hrs this morning... Went to wash up and then headed off to work... Well I had to go on my own today 'cause Colin and Sat had a site meeting... I left the house at around 0900hrs and reached the bus stop at around 0905 hrs... Caught the 0910hrs bus and reached work at around 0945hrs... Well the buses were flying today... So that's good...

When I reached office, I started up my station and the radio and then sat down to do nothing... Literally... Well I cleared out all the spam emails and then started to attempt to draw your ship... After a while, Colin called and asked me to help him clear out his table and put all his stuff in order... I can't stand doing that... Especially when it's a bloody messy table... Sigh... But what the hell... Well I got it over and done with rather quickly... After that, it was back to nothing to do again... When they came back, there were some people who came in to collect stuff... So I had to generate invoices... But that was that...

After giving up with the ship drawing, I surfed the Internet for more airline rates to Perth... Well, that's after you called and said to check out Thai Airlines... Well, the difference in price is $122 and the time it takes to fly from here to Perth is 10 hours longer because they transit in Bangkok... So I think we should just stick with Qantas... Anyway, after that, I went to read my book... And soon enough, I just could not keep still... Thank god that was almost the end of the day...

I left office at around 1830hrs... Walked over to Potong Pasir to get the train to Chinatown... That's 'cause I was going to collect my contact lens... So I met Mum at the optometrists... That's 'cause she was at SGH 'cause Grandpa was in hospital... Anyway, after collecting the lens, we walked around to look for more crystals to make Christmas presents... Once everything was settled, we headed home... On the way home, I saw my cousins, uncle and auntie on the train... Anyway, we got off at Serangoon and then caught the bus home...

We reached home at around 2130hrs... I came up to wash up and then came online after that... Cleared out my emails and then came here to blog... Well, I'm waiting for you to call now... You were supposed to call about 2hours ago... But I didn't hear from you at all... Well, I'll be making the presents while waiting for you...

That's pretty much my day... Nothing much... Oh well... I just can't wait for you to come home... Then at least there's something to look forward to even more at the end of the day... Sigh... So till tomorrow... I love you darling!!! Miss you lots!!! *muackz muackz* *hugz hugz*

Day 82 of OBO... Back to nothing to do...

I'm exhausted... I'm very very tired... Sigh... I think the whole lack of sleep is starting to show it's effects... But I want to be there when you call... I want to talk to you when you call... I want to hear your voice... Sigh... I miss you darling!!! Oh well...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0830hrs today... Went to wash up and headed off to work on my own... It was cold today... I was in a collared T-shirt and my Adidas jacket, but I was still freezing my butt off... Oh well...

Anyway, I reached work at around 1015hrs... Started up my PC and everything else and then realised that I had nothing to do... Well, everyone was out of the office, that's why... Anyway, intermittently, I had so emails to send out and what not... But that was all there was to it...

The rest of today was researching spent researching about Perth... Well, it was more of looking for accommodation for holiday makers... Well, I found a few studio apartments in West Perth... And they were inside the free transit area... That means that they have free bus services to the city... And all these apartments have the same facilities as that of normal households... So what I'm thinking is that we can save on meals by shopping at a supermarket or a green grocers and then pack picnics or sandwiches for lunch... Well, we'll decide on that when the time comes... After that, I also went to look for flights...Well the cheapest is on Qantas, going at $774... Well that includes service charge, taxes and fuel surcharges... So all in all, accommodation and flight would cost us around $2600...

Anyway, I left office at around 1835hrs... Caught the bus to Toa Payoh to go to church for rehearsals... Well rehearsal today was not as productive as last week... But we managed to complete the choreography... So I guess that was alright... Well I'm just hoping next week's one will be much better...

Rehearsal ended around 2135hrs... I caught the bus home and reached at around 2230hrs... I turned on the computer 'cause 妹妹 sent me her RJ to vet via email... After getting all that done, I went to wash up and got back to 妹妹 about her RJ... Well, she's improved a lot... Anyway, after talking to 妹妹, I had supper... It was fish and chips... It's the first time I'm having supper in a long long time... Sigh... I used to have supper with you... I still remember the times when we would cook 3-4 packets of instant mee goreng and then gorge our faces with it... Haiz... It's weird having supper alone... Sigh... Oh well... Anyway, while eating, I blogged... So that's what I've been doing since...

That's pretty much it... I need to go and sleep... I'm very very tired... Can't afford to fall sick now, especially when my mission's next Saturday... I'm looking forward to that...I just want everything to fly... I can't wait for you to come home... And that reminds me... I need to get down to putting the finishing touches to your scrapbook already... Anyway, I got to go now... Eyes can hardly open... So good night, sleep tight, sweet dreams... I love you baby!

Day 81 of OBO... Sick and Tired of everything...

Today was a rather under-the-weather day for me... Maybe it's because I haven't been getting enough sleep lately and with everything that's happening, it just adds on to my already irritable self... Sigh... Oh well...

I woke up at 0915hrs today... Well Colin was coming to get me before heading to the office, so that's why I could afford to wake up later... Anyway, I went to take a warm shower and then went down to wait for him... While waiting, my dad told me that my grandfather had been warded into hospital for bleeding from the rectum... Well the latest news is that there's a lump in his tummy... So the doctors are trying to rule out cancer, but they can't do anything 'cause he's on blood thinners... So they need to thicken his blood first before proceeding with the tests...

Anyway, Colin came at around 1140hrs... We reached office at around 1150hrs... I started up my station and then did the usual stuff... Well today was rather busy... Was packed almost the whole day... Of course there were periods in between when I had nothing to do, but I was quite busy on the whole... So that wasn't too bad... At around 1730hrs, Colin and Sat went to a project site to settle some stuff... Well that was about the time when I did not have much to do...

I left the office at around 1815hrs to go for bible class... Well, along the way, I detoured to the bank... After that, I walked over to Potong Pasir to catch the bus to Serangoon... Today's class was the last one for the year... Well, we completed the first four books of the bible this year... Class ended at around 2150hrs... Well it was pouring when class ended... Thankfully, the priest who was conducting the class offered to give me a ride home...

I reached home at around 2210hrs... I went to wash up... Took a really hot shower... After that, I came here to blog... Well it's freezing now... I'm in my pull overs and am still feeling cold... Day 80 of OBO... Tedious

Today was a rather tedious day... Well, it started off alright, but as the day went by, it got a bit more tedious... But other than that, it was relatively normal... The usual Monday blues...

I woke up late this morning... About 0850hrs... That was almost 30minutes late... Well I got ready and flew out of the house in just over 10minutes... I didn't miss the bus... In fact, I think the bus I took was supposed to be the 0905hrs bus... But since the driver was driving like a snail, he was about 10-15minutes late...

I reached office at around 1015hrs... Started everything up and then got down to clearing out all the spam mail from the weekend... After that, I compiled a list of all the prices of one of our labels for a client who requested for it... I also had to request for freight quotes... So basically I had to make calls and get the freight companies to send in their quotations... And then there was nothing left to do after that... So I was surfing face book and checking out more interior design websites...

Well, I was alone in the office for almost half the day... Colin came in at around 1330hrs... Well, that's when the tedious part of the day started... You see, he's expanding his business to cover life style products now... So he's currently starting with a certain brand of bags... So, what he asked me to do was to create a 'new company' in the accounting system to check the movement of all these goods... Well, I had to create the whole thing from scratch... That was the easy bit... The most tedious bit was having to key in each item, one at a time... That kept me occupied the whole day... Well I'm not complaining... But when the afternoon sleepy syndrome hits, that's it... And it doesn't help that the air con is freezing and it's raining outside... So you kinda get the picture right?

Anyway, I left the office at around 1850hrs... Caught the bus, which was rather packed and reached home at around 1950hrs... It was super cold... And I was already in long sleeves... I think I really should expedite my search for my trench coat... Anyway, I came home, had my dinner of rice, curry chicken, french beans and blachan... Shiok but not hot enough... After that, I came to bathe... After that, I came here to blog...

That was about all for my day today... Well quite tired... But I will still wait for your call... And then again, that will be around 0400hrs... Anyway, I've got to go now... So till tomorrow... Good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams... Love you lots baby!!! Miss you lots Dear!!!

Day 79 of OBO... Tired feet...

Well today was a rather productive day... There were a few things which I needed to get down... I had to go and make my contact lenses and get the toiletries for my mission trip... Well it was 'mission' accomplished...

Anyway, I woke up at around 1040hrs this morning... I decided to do something to give you on the final leg of your mission... So, like before, I went to my mum's rubber stamp collections to get some inspiration... Well, I managed to think of something... And I hope you'll like it... It's kinda fairytale-ish, but then again, it's the closest which I could think of...

After finding what I needed, I went to wash up and then had my lunch... At around 1400hrs, mum and I left for Chinatown... That's where my optometrist is... Went there to get my contact lens sort out... Mum also went to get her sunglasses darken by a tone... After that was done, we walked into the bead shops to look for the last item I needed for your surprise... Well, we managed to find it and also ended up buying crystals to make angel trinkets to give away as Christmas presents...

After that, we walked across to people's park centre to get the toiletries... That was done pretty quickly... Following that, we walked around the area to look for my trench coat... Well that's just for fun... And it's kinda ideal to wear one now since the weather's getting a little wet and chilly... Well, those that I saw were either not very nice or they did not carry my size... That's thanks to my broad shoulders... Oh well... I ended up getting a pair of baggy pants and a really nice belt that had a few coloured gem stones on it... After that, we headed home...

It was drizzling when we were walking in... Thank goodness we were only 5 minutes away from home... Upon reaching home, I had my dinner... You called just as I finished my dinner... After we hung up, I came up to try making the first angel... Well, I could not get it initially, but after a while, I managed to figure it out... After that, I went to wash up and got down to making your surprise...

I'm half way through that now... But I decided to get this done first... So here I am, blogging, talking to you again, and having a surprise to complete... Well, I think I should get back to it... Day 78 of OBO... Wedding bells are ringing...1st Christmas Practice...

Today was rather busy and tiring... I was in church for the whole day... Had to sing for a wedding mass and then go for choir practice later in the afternoon, and then go for mass, and after that, it's back to church for Christmas practice... It's the first of three practices... And for those of you who clicked on this entry thinking Albert has just proposed to me... Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but he hasn't popped the question yet... ^_^

Well I woke up at around 0740hrs, after 4 hours of broken sleep... Well I had to drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom to shower and get ready to go to church for the wedding mass... I had to be in church at 0930hrs for warm-ups and practice... As such, I left the house at around 0830hrs and caught the 163 to Toa Payoh... I reached at around 0920hrs... Well, the bus ride was quite fast... About 30 minutes max...

Well, the bride today had a rather simple gown with a gold sash and a long long train... My gosh, I loved the train! But unfortunately for the bride, her maid of honour did not do a good job in laying it out nicely... So what happened was instead of having a very nice rounded train, she had one that was all scrunched up... What a pity... Anyway, throughout the whole wedding, I was just thinking about what ours would be like... The type of gown which I'll wear, the suit or tuxedo you'd wear, who'll be part of the wedding entourage, the happenings of our big day... Well, I know all this is rather far-fetched, but I guess there's no harm giving it some thought right? Anyway, after the wedding mass, there was a reception... The food was fantastic!

At around 1315hrs, I went for the 1400hrs novena session with my choir people... It was drizzling at that time... And I didn't bring my umbrella... So I was just hoping that I wouldn't get drenched... Well I didn't... Anyway, after novena, we went back to Toa Payoh for ice cream at Swensen's... We sat there till about 1600hrs before heading back to church for choir practice and mass...

After mass, I went to get dinner with a couple of choir people at an air-conditioned coffee shop across the road... The western food was good... I had the oven-baked chicken... It was very very tender... Well, we'll go there for dinner one day when you're home... Anyway, at around1955hrs, we headed back to church for Christmas practice... That lasted until about 2140hrs...

After practice, I walked to the bus stop to get 163 home... The bus came around 2155hrs and I reached home at around 2230hrs... I went to wash up and then came online... I printed some photos, cleared out my emails and thereafter, came here to blog...

Well that was pretty much my day... It was really very packed and was super tiring... Well, luckily I can sleep in tomorrow... Well I'm waiting for you to call now... You're still on bus conductor duty... So I guess you'll probably call me around 0400hrs again... Oh well... Anyway, I love you darling!!!! Until the end of time!!!! Miss you heaps!!!

Day 77 of OBO... Nothing to do...

Yet another boring day... Well that was it today... There was absolutely NOTHING exciting at all... And please don't envy me 'cause it really isn't a situation you want to be in...

Anyway, I woke up at 0830hrs again 'cause I was going to work on my own... I went to wash up and then left the house at around 0855hrs... Walked out to the bus stop to wait for the bus... Just as I was about to cross the road, the 0905hrs 854 passed me... Well, the next one came about 10 minutes later... So that wasn't too bad...

I reached office at around 0940hrs... Well 151 today was rather fast as there were hardly any passengers to pick up... I guess a lot of people are on leave 'cause the school holidays have already started... Anyway, when I got into office, I did the usual... Turned on the radio and my work station and waited for everything to start up... While they were starting up, I went to take in the 3 19-litre bottles of water we ordered... Well the delivery guy just left everything outside... Sigh... Anyway, after all that was done, I cleared out all the spam mail and then had nothing else to do, well that was part from the occasional sending out of a few emails and quote requests and checking on our shipment status.

Since I had so much time on my hands, I spent the whole morning on Face Book... Looked at picture albums and what not... After a while, I got quite bored and decided to start on my rosary... Well, I managed to finish one today... And it is almost perfect... A few more to practice on and I think it should be perfected... Well that took up the whole day... So it wasn't too bad... At least there was something to keep me occupied till I knocked off work...

I left office at around 1830hrs... I walked over to your place to collect a UOB letter from 妹妹... I also helped her vet her RJ... Well she's starting to write much better now... And she seems to be more keen about improving her English now... And she has improved tremendously since I first met her... As for your Mum, well she's keeping very very well... The first thing she asked me when I walked in was, "which floor is the flat you both bought on?" Well, I tried to tell her that we're only trying to ballot for it... But for some reason, she didn't understand... Oh well... Communication breakdown... Thank god 妹妹 was there to bridge the gap... As for your dog, well looks like she misses the both of us lots! She pees every time she sees me now... And she refuses to quieten down until I pat her... And when I leave, she'll just look at me and keep barking and jumping on me as though she's telling me not to go...

I left your place at around 1950hrs... I headed to Jalan Kayu to meet some of my friends for dinner... After that, they sent me home... Reached home at around 2200hrs... I tidied up my shelf and fiddled around with my laptop for a while before I went to bathe... Now your pictures and card are in the middle of it... So every time I look up, I see you... ^_^... Anyway, I took a nice shower at around 2320hrs... After that, I came here to clear out my emails and then came here to blog... Well, now I'm waiting for two things... First, for my hair to dry; and second, for you to call... Well you're out having dinner now... So I guess you're probably going to call only at 0400hrs or so... Oh well... I think I should blow dry my hair and crawl into bed... I've got an early start tomorrow... And it won't end till late... So good night, sleep tight and sweet dreams! I love you lots darling! Day 76 of OBO... Another boring day...

Today was a relative cool day for me... I woke up feeling a little cold and as usual, froze my butt off in the office... Maybe it was from the rain last night and possibly because it was also rather cloudy... Well, there was nothing much today... Except when I met up with my girlfriends in the evening...

Well, I woke up at around 0830hrs... Went to wash up and then flew out of the house by 0900hrs... Well that's 'cause I was going to work on my own... Colin and Sat had some meeting in the morning... Well, I caught the bus almost immediately and reached work at around 0940hrs...

When I reached work, I started up my work station and waited for it to boot... Well, there was nothing to do... No emails to clear, no accounts to settle, no quotes to write... Nothing... Literally... I spent the morning working out the POA question from last night and managed to solve it... So that's good... Colin and Sat came back at around 1200hrs and there was a bit to do... Prepared a few cheques for payment and also prepared an item list for a quotation... After that, there was nothing left to do again...

At around 1500hrs, Mei Mei dropped by my office to pass me your letters... Well the HDB letter came... But don't get too excited... It's only a confirmation letter to say that they've received our application... But then again, it's really nice to see it addressed to both of us... It's a first for us... ^_^... Well I really do hope we get the flat... And I'm praying really hard too... Anyway, after that, I was on facebook until about 4plus... That's when I decided to look at the rates banks are offering for savings accounts... So at least this will expedite the decision making process of which bank to go with when you come back...

Anyway, I left the office at around 1810hrs... Took a bus to City Hall to meet Grace and Marie... Well, I was early, so I went to settle your bills... The queue was short but the people in front were taking forever... Well, Marie reached shortly after and so we talked while waiting... My turn finally came and when I was done, we went to wait for Grace, who arrived soon after... We headed to Raffles City for dinner... Ate at Thai Express... I absolutely love the thai green curry... It's spicy yet not spicy... And the prices are reasonably... It cost each of us only $10... Well we have to go there when you come back... Anyway, we finished at around 2015hrs and decided to go and walk at Marks and Spencers... I bought a roll of chocolate chip cookies and ginger snaps... These are my two all-time favourites! It's been the case since I was old enough to bite...

We left City Hall at around 2120hrs... I caught the train home and then hopped onto the bus, which came not too long after I reached Yio Chu Kang Station... I reached home at around 2210hrs... And it was the usual routine - put my bag in my room, went to wash up, blogging after I'd finished washing up... Yup... That's was pretty much it... This was my boring day... I'm anticipating tomorrow to be the same again... Oh well... Anyway, I need to head to bed now... Got to wake up early tomorrow... And I'm expecting my sleep to be interrupted by your phone call... Not that I'm complaining or anything... I'm looking forward to it in fact... And I really do hope you call 'cause when I tried calling your mobile earlier this evening, for some reason, you were uncontactable... So ya... Don't get me all worried again please... For those of you who read my blog as a form of keeping yourself up to date with the happenings of Albert's OBO, well, he's been doing very well... Growing a tummy soon... LOL... Don't know how many months 'pregnant' he'll be when he gets home... LOL... Anyway, he's just completed the third leg of the mission and will start the last leg sometime next week... That's the last one before he heads back for home... So right now, he's on shore leave, enjoying himself in Dubai...

Day 75 of OBO... Relatively Busy

Today is the busiest day of the whole month... Had lots of things to do in the office... There was also rehearsal after work... Oh well...

I woke up at 0900hrs today... It was raining rather heavily... I went to wash up and then went to wait for Colin... While waiting I read a few pages of the book I borrowed from the library and then decided to get some shut eye after that...

Colin came at around 1130hrs... We headed straight to office and reached at around 1145hrs... I got down to clearing out the emails, sorting out all the accounts, entering more data and stock into the accounting system, writing cheques to pay off our suppliers etc... Well you get the picture... After that, I had to look up some products to compare their prices for Colin to prepare a quote... Following that, I started reconciling all the US Dollar TT accounts... That would be our foreign suppliers... So I had to match all their invoices against the ones that were entered into the system...

Well, after about 1600hrs, I had nothing to do... That was also around the time Colin and Sat went to a site for meeting... So I went online and surfed the HDB website to see how many applications there were for the flats we applied for... Well there was a large large number of applications... So hopefully we'll get it and should we get it, fingers crossed so that we'll get a queue number that's rather small so we can choose our choice unit... Oh well...

Anyway, I left office at around 1825hrs to go to church for rehearsals... Rehearsal today was very fruitful... We managed to finish the whole musical... Went through it from start to end... So that's fantastic... Rehearsal ended at around 2145hrs... Well as I was walking out, I missed my bus... But the next one came rather quickly...

I reached home at around 2230hrs... Turned on my laptop and then went to wash up... After that, I helped one of my friends with accounting... I'm still trying to figure out how to get the balance sheet balanced... I think some thing went wrong somewhere... Oh well... Anyway, I've given up with it... Well, after that, I came here to blog... That's pretty much my day... Busier than usual... But I'm not complaining... Anyway, I need to hit the sack now... Got to wake up early tomorrow to catch the bus to work... So till then... Good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams... I love you darling!!! Miss you lots!!!!

Day 74 of OBO... Exhausted...

I only had 2 hours of sleep... Well that's 'cause I couldn't sleep after you slammed the phone down on me, and when you called back later, we spoke till about 0530hrs... Another tiff after about 2 months... Sigh... Anyway, it's been resolved, I think... So that's alright...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0800hrs... Had to give Colin a wake up call 'cause we were setting out early today... After calling him, I went back to sleep for another 30minutes before going to bathe... Dragged myself out of bed and into the bathroom... Well, I bathed in record time today... Took me only 20minutes to shampoo and soap... Well I got ready and went down to wait for him, eyes still half closed, mind blank and rather heavy hearted...

Well, he came at around 0915hrs and then we headed to Ang Mo Kio MRT Station to pick our other colleague up... After that, we headed to the hawker centre nearby for breakfast... After breakfast, we headed to office... We reached office at around 1100hrs... Today seemed like a Monday 'cause there was a lot of things to do... Lots of emails to clear and reply, accounts to tidy up, shipments to settle, insurances to settle etc... At least that kept me busy till about 1400hrs...

After that, I was pretty free... Colin and Sat were out on site and I had nothing else to do... So I surfed the Internet... Took a look at the Boon Keng DBSS site... Well, I like the artist's impression... But in the long run, the block that is facing the CBD will be blocked 'cause the plot of land directly in front of it's reserved for future high-rise developments... So that will probably decrease the value of the flat if we're going to sell and move in the future... Oh well... Anyway, that's still quite some time away... So I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

I left the office at around 1810hrs... Walked over to Potong Pasir to catch the bus to bible class... Reached at around 1900hrs... So I slept for a while before class started... 15minutes into class you called... Well we spoke for a bit then I had to get back to class... You said that you'll call back at around 2300hrs... Well, today's the second last class... We finished at around 2155hrs... Mum and I caught a cab home...

I reached home at around 2215hrs... Went to wash up and then started working out your accounts... I've figured something out... But you have yet to call... It's already 0003hrs... So I hope you'll call soon... Anyway, after that, I came here to blog... So basically, I'm waiting for you to call now... Oh well... I've got to do some stuff... So till tomorrow... Good night... Day 73 of OBO... Interviews

Today started off really crap... We quarrelled after a month or so of peace... Sigh... And it was all because of a stupid satellite phone... Honestly, at that time, I was already very frustrated and by you not wanting to listen to what I had to say did not help anything... And I flared up when you started your name calling... Let me get this straight... I DO NOT condone such things... And when I get pissed off, DO NOT blame me for feeling that way... I DO NOT appreciate such attitudes... There is a limit to everything...

Anyway, you apologised after that... Did I cool down... Maybe a bit... I still cannot get over what you said... You have no idea how much it hurts... Anyway, we spoke for close to 2 hours before I had to go wash up and get ready for my interview... It was raining when I left the house at 1130hrs... I reached Raffles Place at around 1230hrs... Waited for my friend to go for lunch... She came at around 1245hrs... We went for lunch at a Jap restaurant at Republic Plaza...

After lunch, I headed to Tung Centre for my interview... The interview went quite smoothly... So now I'm just waiting for the good news... Hopefully I get the job... I really want to start work quickly... I'm getting very very bored and restless... All that time on my hands is starting to really annoy me... I can't stand doing nothing... Oh well... Anyway, after the interview, I went down to Tanjong Pagar to IPP for another appointment... Went to find out more about being a financial practitioner... Well the picture they painted was utopia... It was just too ideal... So I'm still quite sceptical about it...

After all the interviews and what not, I headed down to Orchard to meet up with Nicholas... Sallie's ex-colleague... Remember? Anyway, he was a bit late 'cause he was held up at his medical appointment... So while waiting, I went to Kinno to take a look at some books then went to the library to borrow books... Borrowed a novel by Philip Pullman (they said he's atheist and writes stuff against religion) and a feng shui book...

Nick came at around 1745hrs... We walked around Taka for a while before heading off to Cineleisure for dinner... Had spinach tortellini... After dinner, we walked over to Heeren 'cause Nick wanted to take a look at slippers... After that, he walked me to the MRT station to catch the train home... I caught the train almost immediately... It was quite packed for a Monday evening...

I reached home at around 2200hrs... Came up to my room, put my things down, turned on my laptop and then went to wash up... After that, I came to clear out my emails and face book, then came here to blog... Well that was my day... Nothing much at all... Waiting for your call now... Don't think you'll call soon 'cause you're on watch now... And I know that the phone lines are up 'cause Eddie's online now... So if the internet's up, the phone lines should be up 'cause they are sharing the same network... Well, I got to go now... Will be back tomorrow... I still love you... Even though you've hurt me badly... I miss you lots...

Day 72 of OBO... So near yet so far...

I woke up today with a terrible pain in my right arm, the area where they usually draw blood from... I've been getting this lately but I don't know what is the cause of it... Maybe it's my sleeping position... I don't know... Sigh... Well I woke up to your phone call... We spoke for a while before you had to get back to your watch... Well after we hung up, I went back to sleep... Hoping to sleep the pain off...

I woke up again about 1100hrs... The pain was still just as intense... I couldn't move the arm at all... I had to use my left hand to move it... Oh well... Anyway, I went to wash up and then got ready to go to another family friend's place for lunch...

We (my family and I) left the house at around 1230hrs and we reached at around 1300hrs... We spent the entire afternoon there... Well it's been a year since we caught up, so I guess that's why... Well the food was yummy too... I had tandoori chicken, pork curry, french beans, sambal goreng and chapati... And of course there were the sweets... It's not as sweet as the ones we ate the other time at Little India... Well we stayed there till about 1730hrs before heading home...

We reached home at around 1800hrs... I came straight up to my room and turned on my laptop to clear out my emails... While waiting for the laptop to start up, I was reading a book about Prince Charles' and Princess Diana's wedding... I absolutely love her gown... It's beautiful... Plus it had a super long train... It was 25 feet long!!! Imagine that... And she had a beautiful veil and tiara to go along with it... Well I've got a few tiaras and a crown... And I've already chosen the one I want to use... Oh well... Anyway, that was about the time you called... We spoke for a while... I was really under the weather then... Haiz... You were scared that something's happening... Well, darling, there's nothing happening so you don't need to worry about anything... And it you're scared that there's a third party... Well let's just put it this way... I will never do such a thing... It's just against my morals... I'm not that kind of person...

Well it's almost a month before you come home... I'm getting very very restless... Maybe it's because the things I'm looking forward to will only happen in December... And because of all that anticipation, I'm getting very very irritable and frustrated... Sigh... I don't know... Maybe it's just PMS that's playing with my head... Sigh... I just want time to past quickly... It just seems to be crawling even slower than a snail now... Haiz... Oh well... Anyway, it's about time I get going... I've got an interview tomorrow... Need to get myself snapped out of this mode... I'll be waiting for your call... I love you darling... Miss you lots...

Day 71 of OBO... 1st Mission Briefing...

"Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day. Little children want to play." Well that was what this morning was like... It started raining at around 0500hrs when we hung up... There was thunder and lightning... Well I couldn't sleep after we hung up... I don't know why... Sigh... Anyway, after tossing and turning, I somehow managed to fall asleep...

I woke up at around 0930hrs... Went to wash up and then got dressed to go to Far East Shopping Centre to cut my hair... Well I've got a fringe now and my hair is at least 5inches shorter than before... And I've got highlights... I'm still getting used to my new look... Well after that I left to get to Novena Church for my first mission briefing...

Reached Novena at around 1430hrs... Just in time for the briefing... Got the itinerary and also got to see my group members for the first time... Well my group's too quiet for comfort... And it was very small... Only 6 of us so far... Sigh... There's this other girl whom I know from church and Nat who's in the group too... We were the only ones who were talking... I guess the rest of them were just shy... Oh well...I hope they start to open up soon... There was also some sharing from participants from last year's mission trip... Well that was all we did during the briefing... It ended at around 1545hrs...

After briefing, I headed to church for choir practice and mass... We also practiced for the wedding next week and Christmas... Sigh... Everyone's getting married... Haiz... I wonder when our turn would be... Anyway, after mass, Nat and I headed home straight... I was feeling very very cold and tired... Exhausted... Maybe it's because of the lack of sleep... Or maybe it's because I didn't eat much today... Well I had no time... Was rushing from place to place... Sigh...

We reached home at around 2010hrs... I came up to my room immediately, put my bag down, turned on my laptop and cleared out my email... After that, I went to wash up and then went down to get a bottle of cranberry juice... Brought the bottle of juice up and then started blogging... Well that was pretty much my day... I'm just looking forward to 3 Saturday's more 'cause that's when I'd be flying off for my mission... And when I get back, it'll be 12 days to your return... I'm just counting down... Anyway, I'm going to do some stuff while waiting for your call... So till tomorrow...

Day 70 of OBO... Busy finding things to do...

Day after the public holiday... It was a hot yet breezy day today... The best weather so far... It was like this the whole of today... It wasn't hot, neither was it cold... Just right... I just wished you were here to enjoy this weather... Oh well...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0820hrs today... Went to wash up and headed to work on my own... Left my place at around 0900hrs and caught the bus almost immediately... Well I reached work at around 0950hrs.... It was really fast today 'cause there was hardly any traffic on the road... Well I guess everyone took leave today to enjoy a long weekend...

I was alone in the office the whole of today again... Colin was out of town while Sat was out running errands and entertaining clients... I was done with whatever I had to do by about 1015hrs... Finished replying to all the emails and arranging for shipments... Well there was nothing to do for the rest of the day... So after that, I got down to making my rosaries... I finished making one at around 1500hrs... That's when I had my lunch, an egg sandwich and an apple... Whilst eating, I surfed the Internet again for more interior designers to get an idea of how I want my place to look like... Conceptualising the look in my head already... Well I was on the Internet for the rest of the day... At about 1720hrs, I left the office to get to Raffles Place to meet up with Shu Xian...

Reached Raffles Place at around 1810hrs... Sat by the Singapore River, outside UOB Plaza, and waited for her... Well I was enjoying the cool evening breeze... Well imagine this, I'm in long sleeves, the sun is shining like a normal sunny day and there's really strong breeze and there's not a single drop of perspiration... Yup... That was today... We hardly get this kind of weather in November... It's usually very wet... But I'm not complaining... Enjoy it while it lasts... LOL... Anyway, Shu came at around 1830hrs and we headed down to Marina Square for dinner... Had Sakae Sushi...

We hung out till about 2100hrs before heading home... I walked to Esplanade and caught 70 home... The bus came at around 2110hrs and I reached home at around 2210hrs... Had to run home 'cause it started to drizzle and I was too lazy to open my umbrella... Especially when I was only about 100m away from home... When I reached home, I came up to my room, put my stuff down and then turned on my laptop to do a spyware scan... It's getting a bit 'screwy'... Think there's something inside that hasn't been detected... Either that or it's time for reformatting... Whatever it is, it's driving me up the wall... Sigh... Well, after starting my laptop, I went to wash up... After washing up, I cleared out my emails and then came here to blog...

That's pretty much my day... Nothing of particular interest... Quite boring... Next week would be much better... I hope... Oh well... I've got to get down to your scrapbook again... So till tomorrow... I love you darling... Miss you lots!!! Looking forward to your return!!!

Day 69 of OBO... Happy Deepavali...

It's a public holiday today! Got to sleep in a bit... It was a pretty relaxed day... As usual, it rained again this morning... Monsoon's here... Oh well... Well you called at around 0740hrs and we spoke for about 15 minutes before you had to get back to your watch 'cause your coxswain was doing his 'rounds'... After that, I went back to sleep and woke up again at around 0945hrs... Went to wash up and got dressed to go to Uncle Bala's and Auntie Sumitra's, a family friend, place for Deepavali lunch...

My family and I left our place at around 1030hrs... Went in an MPV cab... It was super spacious... And the driver was really a kind and helpful dude... We reached their place at around 1045hrs... Had a little snack and we were chit-chatting... Spoke with their daughter, 姐姐Anida, as we fondly called her, and played with her kids... Well they wouldn't let me go unless I played with them... So I accommodated them for a while...

We had lunch at about 1400hrs... I ate 5 pieces of chapati, lots of mutton curry and beans... Absolutely loved the beans!!! Plus when you use your fingers to eat... It makes it taste even better! Anyway, we stayed there till about 1545hrs before heading home... We reached home at around 1600hrs... Well, that was about the time you called... This time, after your watch... We spoke for a while before you went to get some sleep...

After we hung up, I took a short nap and woke up at around 1845hrs to go bathe... After that, I went to get a bit to eat... Had the sweet sour pork from Sunday... It tasted much better today... So I think the sauce has to be made in advance for the full flavour to come out... Also had a bottle of cranberry juice... After dinner, I came up to clear out my emails and then blogged after that... Well that was my day... A break after a mundane week... It's work again tomorrow... Anticipating yet another day with nothing to do... Oh well... Anyway, I got to get down to my musical stuff again... I'm waiting for your call... So hopefully you'll call soon... I have this feeling that you've overslept... But never mind... I'll wait patiently... The most I'll just wake up when you call... So till tomorrow... Good night... Sweet dreams... Sleep tight... Day 68 of OBO... Sleepy

It's exactly one and a half months more before you come home... I'm feeling all that excitement and anticipation building up in me, but there is no avenue to let it all out... There's so much to look forward to and it doesn't help when time feels like its crawling by... ARGH!! November seems to be a pretty slow month up to now... There's nothing to do at all... It's not like September and October, where my schedule was packed to the brim... With my music exam over, week nights are almost free... It's only Wednesdays and Saturdays that are packed... Wednesdays would be rehearsals and Saturdays would be have my mission preparations, mass and then choir practices after that in preparation for Christmas... I'm just looking forward to December... There's something to look forward to every week... The first week's my mission trip and my birthday (but you won't be able to spend it with me :( ), the second week would be the results of our flat application, and the third week would be your return... That's all I can think about right now... Oh Well...

Today's yet another cold, rainy, lazy day for me... I've been wasting time the whole day... No work at all... And please don't be envious... It's more tiring than having lots of things to do... I can safely say that I am busy finding things to do... All I looked forward to was rehearsal in the evening and tomorrow's public holiday... And it doesn't help that I'm feeling very sleepy... Sigh...

I woke up at around 0820hrs to a cold and wet day... I was freezing since the time I got out of covers... Went to take a really hot shower... But that didn't help... I was freezing more than ever... The only consolation is that it was only a drizzle when I left my place, which was around 0850hrs... So that wasn't too bad... I caught the bus almost immediately and reached office at 0950hrs... By that time, the rain had stopped already...

I was the first in... The usual case when I'm on my own... Well, I turned on the radio, which was blasting "Dying Inside to Hold You" by Timmy Thomas... Well that was precisely how I was feeling... Haiz... Anyway, I started my work station and then got down to replying emails... Mainly sent purchase orders and replied to enquiries... That took me only a while and after that, I had nothing else to do... Chatted with Jillian for a while, cleared out my personal email and then surfed the Internet... I was looking around for interior designers and their portfolios... Well I found that I liked and their prices are pretty reasonable... I've emailed you the website... So take a look at it when you have time, OK? Well, that kept me occupied for a couple of hours... So it wasn't too bad...

I left the office at around 1815hrs and went to church for the Christmas musical rehearsal... Caught the bus to Toa Payoh and reached at around 1900hrs... As I was walking to church, Mum's friend from BNP Paribas called me for an interview on Monday for an HR position... Well, I do hope I get the job... Then at least we'll have one less thing to worry about... *Fingers crossed*... Rehearsal today was very fruitful... Managed to complete the first half of the musical... So that's really really good... Rehearsal ended at around 2130hrs... Headed home after that...

I caught the bus at around 2150hrs... Reached home at around 2220hrs... Came up to wash up and then cleared out my mail after I was done and after that, came here to blog... That was pretty much my day... I was very free today... Think it'll be the case again on Friday 'cause Colin's out of town and I think Sat will be on site... Oh well... Anyway, I got to get down to doing some stuff for the musical... Will be back again tomorrow... So till then... I love you darling... Miss you lots... *muackz muackz* *hugz hugz*

Day 67 of OBO... COLD!!!

Today was freezing!!! Literally... The air con in the office is like freaking North Pole and at bible class, the air con was blasting like nobody's business, and it didn't help that today was already cold as it is... Haiz... It was yet another boring day in the office... There was nothing to do at all... Well almost nothing... Today wasn't that exciting either... Oh well...

It was raining super heavily this morning... I woke up to you calling me after your watch... That was around 0800hrs... We spoke for about half an hour before the line was cut, for whatever reason... Haiz... Well, I went back to sleep again and woke up at around 0945hrs... Washed up and waited for Colin... Played Beethoven's Pathetique while waiting for him... Well I just was in the mood for that kind of a piece... With you not here and the rain and the anticipated boredom in the office... Sigh... Oh well...

Colin came at around 1100hrs... We detoured to his place on the way to office again 'cause he forgot to get his phone... So after collecting it, we headed to the office... Duh... LOL... Reached at around 1130hrs... I started off with replying emails and tidying up the accounts, chasing clients for payments, and preparing invoices and POs... But all that was done by 1300hrs... After that, I had nothing else to do... Well this time I came prepared... Brought my beads and wires and pliers etc to make rosaries... Well that was all I was doing for the rest of the day... Yup... Finished one rosary... It's actually the one I promised Pete (my bro) that I would make some months back...

Well, I left the office at around 1800hrs to go to bible class... Detoured to the bank along the way to deposit money and update my account book... After that, I headed to your place to catch the bus to class... I reached at around 1900hrs... And I beat this couple to getting the corner seats... Wahahaha... OK OK... I know that's childish... Hahaz... But what the hell... I'm getting restless already... Anyway, while waiting for class to start, I did more rosaries... Well managed to do only half of it when Mum came with dinner... Dinner was yummy... It was sausage and mash and fish and chips... It's from that British fast food stall at PS... The fish and chips were really good... The batter was SOLID!!! Will take you there to try it when you get home... So GET YOUR BUTT BACK HERE THIS VERY INSTANT!!!!!!! *evil laugh*...

Class ended at around 2155hrs... We walked out to catch 70 home... Just as we were about to cross the road, 70 went off... So we had to wait for another 20minutes or so before the next one arrived... Reached home at around 2250hrs... I went to wash up and then came here to blog... I think my laptop's going bonkers already... Had to restart it before I could get Internet Explorer running properly... Even then it was still a bit wacko... Oh well... Anyway, that's it for today... Another boring day... It's going to be the same tomorrow... Sigh... Oh well... It's getting late now and I've got to go to work on my own tomorrow... So till then... I love you darling... Day 66 of OBO... Nothing to do

Today was a VERY BORING day... Well at least that was the case at work... All I was looking forward to was the end of the day... Well that's 'cause I had things to do...

Well, I woke up at 0800hrs to the phone blaring 'You Are Loved'... That means you're calling... Well we spoke for about 20minutes before you had to go for watch... Well I went back to sleep and woke up at around 0930hrs... Went to wash up and then waited for Colin to come pick me up... While waiting for him, I prepared the letters to be posted... I just hope that the value of the stamps are enough to cover the postage...

Anyway, Colin came at around 1100hrs... Before we went to office, we detoured to his home to pick up his laptop and also to post my letters... We reached office at around 1130hrs... I had to reply emails, chase suppliers for shipments, settled the accounts, wrote some cheques to pay people, did some filing and by 1300hrs, I had nothing to do... So I surfed the Internet, not knowing what to do... After that, I flipped through an old bridal magazine... There was nothing much in there... Well that was the case until it was time to go home...

Left the office at around 1815hrs... Walked to the Macpherson Post Office to drop off some payments and then crossed the road to the POSB to update my passbook then headed to Potong Pasir MRT Station to catch the train to 姐姐's place... Well we were celebrating Kevin's birthday and also played a bit of Mahjong... I lost about $3... Won only one game... But that's all right... The company's most important...

We stayed there till about 2150hrs... I walked to the bus stop to catch 86 home... The bus came 2200hrs and the whole journey took about 15minutes... I reached at around 2230hrs... Talked to Mum for a while before coming up to wash... After washing up, I came here to blog... Well that was pretty much my day... Hardly did anything... I think I'll bring my rosaries to make tomorrow... At least I'll be kept occupied... Well that's about all there was for me today... So till tomorrow... I love you my darling!!! And I miss you so much that there are just no more words to express it... Good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams...

Day 65 of OBO... Home

I spent the whole day at home today... The first time since you left... Didn't do much... I woke up at around 0950hrs... Went to wash up and then went down to flip through yesterday's Straits Times Recruit... Found a job which I found appealing... That was the position of Assistant Marketing Communications Manager at the Fullerton Hotel... Well, why I found that appealing is because that was the department I was from when I was working at Meritus Mandarin... I really enjoyed my time there... I got to meet a lot of dignitaries, socialites and government officials... I also got the chance to write press releases and the bi-monthly hotel magazine... There was also a lot of media liaison... And being a social animal, such jobs appeal greatly to me...

Well after seeing that advertisement, I edited my cover letter to suit the application for that job... I sent it via email to their HR department after that... So I'm hoping that I can get the job... Well I just want to get a full time job now because I'm bored working as a temporary staff and want something permanent that pays well... The other reason's also because I want to build up my CPF funds to finance our flat, if our ballot is successful and if we do get a chance to choose the flat of our choice...

Well after doing all that, I went to fiddle with your scrapbook... Thinking of ways and means to make it nicer... Hehez... I also printed out the recipe for some dishes that we'd be whipping up at the chalet... I figured that since I would be at home today, I might as well try it out now instead of waiting for the end of this month or when you get back... At least I'll have time to perfect it when the time comes... And Dad also happened to be at NTUC... So he helped me get all the ingredients...

At around 1630hrs, he came home and I went to see what I needed for dinner... Well I got all the ingredients ready... Started preparing at around 1700hrs... Took me a total of 3hours to finish cooking... By the time I finished, I was exhausted... Well the butter crabs came out nice, considering that it was a recipe I came up on my own... The vegetables were also quite alright... Just need to use the China grown ones... They are much smaller and better tasting... The sweet and sour pork was a bit too sour... So I think I'd have to either cut back on the vinegar or add more sugar... I think cutting back on the vinegar's a wiser and healthier option... The chilli crabs had too little gravy and it was not spicy enough... So probably more sauces... Think I'll try another recipe from one of the cook books I have... I'd also need to cut back on the vinegar for this... The 'hot plate' Tofu was totally bland... It's like baby's food la!!! So I think I'll substitute that for fu rong dan... The only thing left to try out is the almond longan jelly... That one should be easier I think... I'll just get the almond jelly powder and then add a bit more almond essence, make it the night before so that it sets just in time for dinner the next day and then get a can, or two, of longans... Then just add ice after that..

After dinner, I came up to wash up and didn't know what to do at all... I was super bored... So I came back online to blog and also turn up Corrinne May's album... Her songs are absolutely lovely... Will let you hear it when you get home... Well, after a while, I went to wash up to get ready for bed... After washing up, I came back here to blog...

Well, it's raining now... And I'm starting to feel a little sad and alone... I miss the times when we would snuggle under your comforter on rainy nights and you would hold me close to keep me warm and hug me tight so I wouldn't be so scared of the lightning and thunder, and we'd drift into dreamland together... I miss that feeling... Rainy days make me think of that... Sigh... I'm longing for you... I just want you home... It's so near yet so far... Haiz... Anyway, take care my love... I miss you lots... Love you lots too!!!

Day 64 of OBO... Exam...

It's the start of the 10th week of your mission... 6 weeks more and you'll be home!!! Anyway, today's the day of my music exams... Nerve wrecking... Nope... Prepared? Hmmm... I think so... Well, OK OK la... You'll find out more as you read on... ^_^...

Well, as per normal Saturday morning routine, I woke up and went to wash up and got ready to go to Novena with Jillian... Left the house at around 1000hrs and met Jillian on the train... She's getting more punctual now... So that's good...

Anyway, we reached Novena at around 1030hrs and walked over to church and waited for the novena to start... Well today was the 2nd of the 9 novenas in preparation for Christmas... They were talking about finding God in society... The sermon was good today... The priest was saying that we see God most when in times of difficulty... In terms of people helping each other during and after natural disasters... Or someone helping another who is less fortunate... Well I've seen that for myself... And it's really true...

Anyway, after novena, Jillian and I went to Tiong Bahru Plaza for lunch... Well went there 'cause my exam was at the PSB Academy, which was just behind the shopping centre... Well I had minced meat noodles... Only ate that 'cause I couldn't decide what else to eat... Well we sat there till about 1300hrs before I made my way to the exam venue...

Reached there at about 1315hrs... That's because I lost my way... But thank God I'm good at reading maps... So I wasn't lost for too long... LOL... Anyway, I found the classroom and waited till 1340hrs before going in to settle down and get prepared for the paper... Well, when I flipped the paper over, my first thought of the whole thing was 'Shit! So difficult!' Well as I started the first question, I found that it was alright... Not easy, neither was it difficult... It was do-able... Well it was a 3-hour paper but I completed it within 2.5 hours... I handed in my paper and then rushed down to church for choir practice...

Reached Toa Payoh at around 1610hrs... Walked really quickly to church... Managed to practice most of the songs... So that wasn't too bad... Went for mass and after it ended, I met Nat and we headed home... Reached home at around 2000hrs and then had dinner... Spoke to you for a few minutes before you had to head back to your watch... Well after dinner, I went to wash up and came up here to blog... Well that's about all for today.. I'm just glad that the exams are over... Mission prep will start next week... So it's all very timely... Anyway, I'm going to get down to doing some stuff... You'll find out in due time... ^_^... So till then... Take care my love... I love you lots!!!!

Day 63 of OBO... Excitement...

SO EXCITING!!! LOL... And no, I'm not acting as Dolly from Under One Roof... LOL... Well we're both very excited... On the possible prospect of owning our own little nest... There's no doubt that it's a huge huge commitment in terms of finances, but having a place which you can call your own is something we both have been looking forward to...

Well I woke up this morning to your call... You started your watch when it was time for me to get up... So, we spoke for a bit before the coxswain came and you had to hang up... Well, I went to wash up after that and set off to work on my own... Left my place at around 0845hrs and caught the bus almost immediately... Traffic today was very smooth and so, I reached work at around 0940hrs...

When I got to the office, there was literally nothing to do... So I went back to the HDB website and then did a drawing on excel to show you how the flat we applied for's going to look... Well my drawing's not to scale... And the layout of the actual flat will only be given out when we get the confirmed allocation of our flat... That's if, and only if, we get selected during the ballot... Anyway, I'm hoping and praying that the outcome's a good one... Then, calculating the amount of time we have, we have more than enough time to save up for everything and still have enough to live comfortably...

Anyway, Colin came in at about 12plus and that's when there was a little bit more to do... Well, I had to do quotations again, update the item list and then send out some emails to government bodies to collaborate for projects... That's basically what I did for the remainder of the afternoon... Well, everyone left the office at 1800hrs today, for the first time since I started work... Got a lift home from my colleague...

I reached home at 1830hrs!!! That is another first... Well I went to bathe and then had my dinner before walking to my music teacher's place... Went there to collect my papers and all that, in preparation for my paper tomorrow... Yup... It's the final stage... After tomorrow, it's all over... Finish... The end... Well that doesn't mean I won't touch the piano... I'll still play... I've yet to perfect the Canon in D which I want to use for the bridal walk in on my wedding day... LOL... Long way more to that though... Hahaz... Stayed there till about 2215hrs before my music teacher sent me home...

I reached home at around 2220hrs... Went to wash up and then came online to clear the 'left-overs' of my email and blog... Well I think it's about time I went to bed... So till tomorrow... Good night, sweet dreams, sleep tight... *muackz* I love you darling... *hug* I miss you love!!!

Day 62 of OBO... November's here!!!

YEAH!!! November's finally here!!!! You'll be home next month!!!! Hooray!!!! Well, today was a normal day for me... At least that was the case before you called... After that, it was pretty much up hill all the way... But other then that, it was a pretty ordinary day for me...

I woke up at around 0930hrs this morning... Went to wash up and then waited for Colin...While waiting, I finished up one of my music theory questions... It was a composing question... Don't really like it... But it sounded alright after I was done with it... Well, while trying the piece out, Colin messaged me saying that he will be late... So I just carried on with whatever I was doing and then went out to wait for him after a while...

He came at around 1130hrs... Headed straight to office... Reached at around 1145hrs... Well the first part of today was rather busy... Had to write quotations for two projects, reply to emails, work out a quote for some spare parts etc... Well, in between I was also helping 妹妹 with her debate... Something about science and technology... Well it was alright... Not too bad...

Anyway, you called me at around 1400hrs and said to go check our the HDB website and apply for the Telok Blangah BTO... Well, I actually knew about that project last week and just left it in the HDB folder in my email 'cause the closing date for applications was 14 November and that would be before you get back... Well, you said you wanted to submit an application for balloting... And just as the application form loaded, we got cut off... I didn't continue with the application 'cause I wanted to get home and really look through everything and discuss it properly with you first before submitting the form...

Well, the rest of the afternoon was checking out the project site... Looking at the amenities, floor plan etc... Well, it looks quite good... And I like the scenery... Facing Labrador Park and the sea... That means if we are successful in this ballot, we'll probably be blocking the view Garry and Shirley are having now... *Oops*... But that's still a long way more to go... The flats will only be ready in 2013... So there's still a long way more to go...

Anyway, I left office at around 1700hrs to go to church for mass... Today's All Saints' Day... It's a day of obligation for Catholics... That means we have to go for mass... Well, the choir was singing for the 1800hrs mass... So that's the one I went for... After mass, I met Mum and Nat, and we caught a cab home... Dropped them off at home and I headed off to music... The second last lesson before my exams... Yikes... Anyway, I managed to finish all my test papers today... So that's good... So I'm more or less prepared for the paper on Saturday... For some reason, it doesn't seem to bother me yet... Oh well...

I left my music teacher's place at around 2215hrs... My friend sent me home... Reached home at around 2220hrs... Went to wash up and then came here to clear out my emails and see what's new on my friendster and facebook... Well there was a bunch of things... And I was also at the HDB website to get the online application form for the BTO balloting... Well when you called, we filled out the form and submitted it... So now we're just hoping for the best... *fingers crossed* If everything goes as planned, well and good... If not, we'll just have to try again I guess... Anyway, after that, I came here to blog, as usual... So now that it's all done, I'm headed to bed... Gotta get to work on my own tomorrow... So need to wake up early... So till tomorrow... Stay tuned for the good news... Think it'll only be out at the end of the month or early next month... So nerve wrecking... But exciting at the same time... LOL...
