Day 61 of OBO... 1st Rehearsal... Happy Halloween!!!

BOO!!!! It's Halloween today!!! Sigh... What a pity we can't celebrate it... And it's also the end of October!!! This month literally flew!!! And I like that... Anyway, today started off as a rainy day... But as the day went on, it got sunnier... Well, nothing eventful happened in the office today... The only thing worth noting was my 1st rehearsal for the Christmas musical in church...

I woke up at 0840hrs and then went to wash up... Got changed and left the house at around 0905hrs to catch the bus to work... Well, it was still drizzling when I left... I managed to catch the bus immediately after I reached the bus stop... So that wasn't too bad... I reached office at around1020hrs... Settled in and then cleared up yesterday's work...

Didn't have to do much... Just had to key in the shipments that arrived yesterday into the accounting system and then reply some emails and that was about it... And I also had to draft a credit letter... And get the pay checks ready to be issued... Yeah!!!! Money in... ^_^... Well, I did a bit of music... Wrote like 2 bars of my composition... Will probably complete the rest tomorrow morning while waiting for Colin... In between, I surfed the web... Just to pass time... Saw this blog that does rental of the VW convertible beetle for weddings etc... Super nice la *hint hint*... Hehez...

Anyway, I left office at around 1800hrs to meet Jillian at Toa Payoh for dinner before going for rehearsal... Well, as usual, she was late... Anyway, we went to Mos Burger, dinner was courtesy of Jillian, and got some take away... Brought the burgers to church and ate there... After that, I had to 'report' to the auditorium for 'duty'... Since today was the first rehearsal, there was a parents' briefing... Well that's 'cause the entire cast, with the exception of myself and this other girl, are 14years old and below... Well, I had to usher the parents and ya da da to the auditorium... Once that was done, my duty for that part was done... Well, the briefing got underway and not too long after, so did the rehearsal... That's when you called... I was very very relieved to hear from you 'cause you said you'd call last night, but you didn't call at all... And through out the whole of today, you didn't call either... So you can imaging how worried I was... Well, it's good hearing from you... But it's also quite worrying to hear that you're down with a fever... I don't know it this is really what happens to people who are really really close, but first we both got bruises on the same parts of our limbs at the same time last month and, now that I'm down with the flu, you're down with it too... So coincidental... But at the same time, too often to be coincidences... Oh well... Must take care alright? Anyway, back to rehearsals... We started off with learning Jingle All The Way... It went quite well... After that song, the main cast went to another role to start rehearsing our narrative parts... Well it was fun... I'm just looking forward to the whole musical coming together... Can't wait for that...

I left church at around 2135hrs... Walked to the bus stop... Well I had to wait for about 15minutes before 163 came... The whole bus journey took about 20minutes and I reached home at around 2120hrs... Went to wash up and then came here to blog... Well, this is pretty much what happened today... I'm waiting for you to call now... So I really hope that you call... In any case, take care my love... *muackz muackz* I love you baby!!! *hugz hugz* Miss you lots!!!!! Till tomorrow...

Day 60 of OBO... Annoyed...

I didn't go to work today... Am on MC... Thanks to the aching back, cough and stuffy nose... Haiz... Oh well...

Anyway, you called me at around 0750hrs... That's when you started your watch... We talked for about 10minutes or so before you had to go 'cause there were people wanting to use the phone... So I went back to sleep and woke at around 1100hrs this morning... For some reason, I was feeling very very drowsy... It's like as if I had not enough sleep... Well, I had to drag myself out of bed... I planned to see the doctor and the dentist... I went to wash up and just as I was about to leave the house, the girl from the research company who told me I got the job called me and told me that the UK head office had rejected my application... Well, I was very annoyed by that 'cause you don't tell someone that they've been accepted, only to call them later and tell them that they've been rejected... But she was nice about it... She said that MINDEF had opened a recruitment advertisement for research associate... It's similar to what they do, only thing is that this is mainly military stuff... Something which I've always been more inclined towards... Well, she also said to call her when I've submitted my resume so she can make arrangements for an interview for me... Well, that's 'cause her boyfriend works there... So that was really sweet of her... Oh well...

Anyway, I left the house at around 1130hrs... Reached the Docs at around 1145hrs... It was empty... I went in immediately... Didn't have to wait... Well, she said that my back pain was due to a muscle strain 'caused when I coughed or sniffed/sneezed to hard... She gave me some meds to clear up the phlegm and congestion and cough syrup to kill the cough... After that, I went to get lunch at the cafe next door and saw my grandmother (Mum's mum) there... Well, the doctor's around their flat, so that's why... She was also buying lunch for herself and grandpa... Well, so I got rice and some tofu, egg plant and fish fillet and went up to their place to eat... Sat there till about 1240hrs before walking to catch the bus to the dentist... Reached the dental clinic at around 1250hrs... Well that's 'cause it's about 5minutes from where my grandparents stay... Well, I thought I chipped my tooth yesterday... But according to the dentist, he said it was actually the plaque build-up that chipped... So my teeth are still intact... Thank god for that... Well he did scaling and then removed a bit of decay in one of my teeth and filled it up... He's not bad... The bill came up to about $80 in all... Quite reasonable... And he's really nice... Well, think I'll make him my regular dentist... Besides, it's only 5minutes from my place too... So that's not too bad...

After that, I headed home... Reached home at around 1350hrs... Didn't do much... Just went online to clear out my mail and look at all the face book notifications and request... And then got down to modifying my cover letter and resume for the MINDEF application... Hopefully I'll get this one... I'm getting really sick and tired of having to look for jobs... And I guess it's also 'cause I want to build up my savings and CPF funds quickly for our future... Sigh... Annoying... But I guess that's what happens when you're in the rat race... Oh well...

I left my place at around 1845hrs to go for bible class... Reached at around 1915hrs... Well we started on the Book of Numbers today... It was freezing cold there... And I didn't bring my jacket... So basically I froze all the way... Haiz... Class finished at around 2145hrs and Mum and I caught the bus home...

We reached home at around 2215hrs... Went to wash up immediately and then came here to clear the remainder of my emails and face book stuff... And also read one of my friend's blog... Sigh... What's up with everything now... So many stories of breaking up... From your ship crew to friends... Sigh... Well I guess we're really blessed 'cause we're still together and are growing much stronger as a couple each day... And I hope this will be the start to an everlasting love...

Anyway, it's getting late now... And I need to get some rest 'cause I'll be going to work on my own tomorrow... And my meds are going to make me really drowsy... So till tomorrow... Good night, sleep tight, sweet dreams... *muackz muackz* I love you darling! *hugz hugz* Miss you lots lots!!!

Day 59 of OBO... Happy 1st Anniversary!!!!!

It's our anniversary today... We've crossed the one year mark!!! YEAH!!!! Well, time went by rather quickly for us this past year... Honestly, we're so gelled that it feels like we've been together forever... Well, and I guess this distance is the time when our relationship will be put through fire to be tested... And we're coming out stronger than before... It's drawing us closer together...

Anyway, I woke up this morning feeling worse... Blocked nose... But at least the sore throat has subsided... But I'm still having phlegm... Sigh... Still just as irritable and even more under the weather... Well, I waited for Colin to come and during that time, I was looking through the Ikea 2008 catalogue... Well the after effects of yesterday's home shopping... LOL... Got some ideas... Let's go Home and Decor shopping when you get home OK? Anyway, Colin came at around 1100hrs...

We went to office straight away... Traffic today was wonderful... There was no jam on the CTE at all... Really smooth traffic... So anyway, we reached office at around 1130hrs or so... I was just settling in, turning on my computer and getting to do work when the security guard came up and said that there was a delivery of flowers this morning and it's waiting on his desk... Well, I knew it had to be you... 'Cause last night you said that there'll be a surprise when I get into office today... Well, I went to get the 'Box of Blooms' as it's called and this is what it looks like...

Beautiful eh? Well, I'm not really a big fan of flowers... In fact, quite honestly, I find them a waste of money... But when I say this bouquet and the really cute bear, my heart melted... It was really really very beautiful... And the words in your card were really touching... Well, that bear has been on my lap the whole day... I was hugging it while doing work in the office... And it's sitting with me now while I'm blogging... ^_^... I really love it... Thank you Baby!!! Even though we're so far apart and are unable to spend it together, you still put in the extra effort to get me a gift and send it to my office... That really made my day...

Well, the rest of today was spent entering accounts, coordinating shipments and writing invoices... Finished all that at around 1515hrs... Had my lunch after that and then got down to doing a bit of my music... Managed to finish 2.5 questions... So that's about half the paper... So that's not too bad... So now I'm left with another 2 more questions than I think I'll be more or less ready to go for the exam on Saturday... Scoring a distinction is another story altogether...

I left the office at around 1900hrs... Before that, I had really bad diarrhoea... Everything came out, and while walking out to the bus stop, my back started to hurt every time I breathed or coughed... Well, I still went for music and stayed there till about 2215hrs... My music teacher sent me home... Well throughout that time, my back was still really painful...

Anyway, when I got home, I unpacked the roses and then went to wash up... I might make book marks out of the dried petals... Or might just make potpourri out of it... Anyway, after washing up, I came up here to blog... Well I think I should get to bed now... The pain's getting worse... Think I've got a super bad chest infection... And it's starting to affect my sinus now... Sigh... Starting to get a headache similar to the last time I had a sinus infection... Going to see the Docs tomorrow... Hopefully one course of antibiotics is enough to kill whatever is making me sick... So till then... I'm waiting for you call... And I reckon that the ship has just slipped off... So that means you're going to be on watch now... And I think you're going to call me at around 0200hrs or 0300hrs... So I should get to bed now... Day 58 of OBO... AHHHHH CHOOOOO....

I woke up today with an even worse throat... I'm losing my voice, becoming really hoarse, and am getting a stuffy nose... Sigh... I'm feeling really horrible... Super feverish and irritable and sensitive and everything else... Stupid flu...

Anyway, I got up at around 1050hrs... And got down to making a surprise for you... Well I hope you'll like it when you receive it... Not gonna tell you when... It could be during your next port of call or even when you come home... *zip* you'll find out when the time comes... :)... Anyway, that's what I did for the rest of the morning... 妹妹 called me at around 12plus to tell me that we're going to Vivo City... So I went to wash up and get ready to leave...

After I washed up, I went to have my lunch before heading out... Had bee hoon soup... I left my place at around 1430hrs... The bus came just as I reached the bus stop... So I didn't have to wait... Took it to Serangoon MRT Station and then hopped on the train to get to Harbour Front Terminal... Reached there at around 1530hrs... Well we walked around looking for Maryann's clothes and shoes... And then also went to Toy R Us to look around... Mainly at the Halloween things... Well I suggest we have a Halloween party next year... That means all of us dress up and then go over to someone's place and party together... I think I know what I'm gonna go as... And I have the perfect costume for you to accompany me in... LOL... *wink wink*... Anyway, after a while, we went to have dinner... Ate at Burger King... I had a Mushroom Swiss meal... Haven't had that in a long time... But then again, I didn't want to get the Rendang burger 'cause I didn't want to aggravate my cough any more than I would be... So ya...

After dinner, we walked to Tangs 'cause 姐姐 wanted to look at things... We went to the Home section... Sigh... I wish you were here... Especially since we're intending to get a place soon and all that... Well for those of you who have been having hunches on what Albert might have said to make me so elated... Well I guess this would confirm it... LOL... Anyway, there were so many things that I saw and liked... And it would be a possibility that we might get those next time 'cause those are brands which I trust... Well, of course, alternatively, we could come up with a registry (a list of things which you'd want people to get for you when you get married etc) and then put it on our website (if you have one) or maybe on a blog or something... But anyway, just walking in there makes me think of that... But even though there's that excitement in me, I also feel rather down 'cause I can't share what I'm thinking with you... Oh well... I guess we'll have to wait for another 55 more days before we can really talk about all these... Anyway, while we were walking around there, 姐姐 turned around and asked me,"How would you decorate your house next time?"... Well I was initially surprised at the question 'cause I never expected it but anyway, my response to her was," well it'll probably be modern with lots of space; and if it's feasible, I'd love to have the walkway leading to the rooms on a split level so that the top layer will be made of a clear material and then below it, I can display all my jigsaw puzzles..." Well that's 'cause I love to fix jigsaws, especially the ones with Disney princess... Well, after Tangs, we went to the pet shop and then headed home after that...

We left Harbour Front at around 2140hrs... Took the train back to Serangoon and wanted to get a cab home, but 70 came first... So I reached home at around 2230hrs... Spoke to Mum for a while before going to wash up and then coming here to blog... Well, in between I called M1 to check on you roaming rates and, of course, I spoke to you... Well we couldn't talk for long 'cause next month's bill's going to rocket, plus, you had to go for you bus conductor duties... Sigh... Anyway, I need to get to bed now... I've got work tomorrow and I'm not getting any better... So good night, sweet dreams, sleep tight... I love you baby!!! Miss you lots!!! In fact, everyone misses you... And Kait Kait's been asking for you every time... When Kevin turns on his laptop, she keeps pointing to his wallpaper, which is the group photo we took at Redang, and asks him,"Where's Ah Gu? Is he here?"... And she also wrote and drew you something... So you had better get your butt home fast...

Day 57 of OBO... Sneezy Weezy... *cough cough*

Today was a rather routine Saturday... Did the same old things... Well, there were a bit of 'add-ons' here and there, but that was about it... I was also feeling worse than yesterday... I was coughing the whole day and my nose started to get really stuffy...

For some reason, I couldn't wake up this morning... Not because I slept late last night or anything remotely close to that... Well, firstly, I think it was the cold, rainy weather that made waking up so difficult, and, secondly, my throat was really really sore and my nose was terrible... I sound like a whole octave lower than what I usually sound like... It's that hoarse... I think I can pass off for a guy now... LOL... Anyway, I dragged myself out of bed, went to bathe and got ready to meet Jillian to go for the 1100hrs novena service... After I got out of the bathroom, Mum said that she'll be leaving with me and that she'll follow me to novena too...

So, anyway, we left the house at around 1000hrs... By that time, the rain had already stopped... So we walked out and caught the bus to the MRT station and then hopped onto the train to get to Novena Station... For once, Jillian was not late! Well, she met Mum and I on the train... After the novena session, we walked over to Velocity aka Novena Square... There was a clothes sale and I got a dress, a skirt and some hair accessories... It costs $45 in all... Quite reasonable... Well, they're all in pink... My favourite colour... Hehez... Well, after that, we went to Junior De Artist, an art and craft shop, to get some stuff... We're quite familiar with the people there you see... So anyway, spent some time there before Jillian and I left for Cold Storage to buy ingredients to cook our lunch... She was craving for spaghetti... So we went to buy the spaghetti noodle, minced beef, chicken cheese cocktail sausages, button mushrooms and the tomato based sauce... It cost about $11.20 in all... After that we headed back to her place to cook...

We reached her place at around 1330hrs... Got down to making lunch immediately... And you called during that time... We talked for a few minutes and then you had to go and do domestic before you went out... Sigh... Anyway, cooking lunch this afternoon just made me miss the times when we would whip up breakfast together, and sometimes lunch too... And of course, the overloaded seafood pasta we made the last time... Sigh... I just wished we had our own little place now and I can imagine what we'll be doing every weekday evening and every weekend... Sigh... I miss you... Anyway, lunch was not bad... Turned out quite yummy... I'll make that for you when you get home... So many things to cook for you to try... Hopefully, exercise will follow after that... Don't want you to get any more fatter than you already are... Well, after that, we cleared up the area and then I got down to doing the surprise for you.. Well I brought my laptop there, you see... Hopefully I can get it emailed to you by tonight... Then you'll at least have tomorrow to download it into your PSP... And hopefully, it can be viewed there...

Anyway, we left her place at around 1545hrs... That's 'cause Jillian had to help her grandmother buy 4D first before we headed down to church... There was a freaking big crowd there because of horse racing... Well after that, we walked to church for choir practice and mass... Quite amazing given the state of my voice... Well, mass finished at around 1915hrs... Left church at around 1930hrs... Jillian followed me home 'cause there was no one at her place... Her grandmother's out of town and her auntie went out for dinner... So she decided to come over to my place for dinner... Not that I mind or anything...

We reached home at around 2015hrs... We had stewed beef, spinach and Assam fish for dinner... Honestly, I just enjoyed the feel of the chilli burning my throat... It felt so good... Anyway, we had chempadek after dinner... I shouldn't be eating all these rubbish... It'll only make me worse... But what the hell... Just whack... Anyway, after dinner, I showed her the Christmas musical that we'll be taking part in... Well we're really excited that rehearsals are starting... I really can't wait for it to start... And when it does, it makes the weeks fly... And soon enough, you'll be home... :)...

Anyway, after that, I made her go home... 'Cause I had things to do and I don't want her to get an earful from her auntie... Knowing Jillian, she can be quite a rebel... So I had to make her go home... After I walked her out, I went to wash up and then came here to blog... Well after this, I'll be getting down to finishing up the surprise and then maybe tidy up our finances and then head off to bed... 'Cause I'm expecting you to call me at 0400hrs... Oh well... I just can't wait to break this routine when you get back... The first thing I'm going to do is hug you so tight that you won't be able to breathe!!! Anyway, I love you darling... *hugz* Till tomorrow...

Day 56 of OBO... Half the mission's over!!!!

It's exactly half of the mission today... Exactly the end of the eighth week... Another eight weeks more and you'll be back!!!! Priya, the FLO also messaged... She really gave quite screwed up information... But it's not her fault... The info given to her was wrong anyway... So it's the stupid officer's fault... Sigh... What's new... But she was really sweet... She said that I can start counting down now... LOL... Little does she know that I've been counting since day one...

Anyway, today was a rather horrible day for me... Not because work was like shit or anything of that sort but because I was having a really horrible throat and a crappy nose... It's not congested or anything but the mucus/phlegm, or whatever you want to call it, was stuck in between my nasal passage and throat... Super irritating... It's the feeling where you want to expel it but you just can't seem to get it out... Yup... Very frustrating...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0930hrs... Went to wash up... Felt very lousy... And also very drowsy... After washing up, I went down to take Berrocca... That really made me feel a bit better... I guess I need to pump my system with lots of Vitamin C and fluids... I also got my lozenges out... To soothe the throat... Well that helped... It kinda numbed the throat... I went to tinkle on the piano for a bit... Then went to watch One House Two Looks... Getting ideas for my own place next time... LOL... After that, I took a short nap... Well I got a message from Colin then that he'll be late...

Colin finally came at around 1145hrs... We went for lunch first... Had Yong Tau Fu just outside our office... It's not bad... Will bring you there when you get there... And it's so near for us to walk from your place... :)... And now that there's no more Jackson market... Sigh... And the bak chor mee there is yummy too... So hurry come home... Then we can go for an eating spree... I need to put the pounds back on too...

Anyway, after lunch, we went back to the office... That was about 1300hrs... Got down to work... Cleared out more emails... Replied even more of them... Did a few quotes... Got shipping quotes... And I also did a line drawing for Terminal 3's fountain... And then continued with the email addresses from where I left off yesterday... Managed to finish that... Finally... So after that, I was pretty much free for the rest of the day...

I left office at around 0700hrs... Colin dropped me off at the mini mart near your place... Just behind the McDonald's... I went there to get cat food for Whiskers... After that, I headed for music... Reached there about 2030hrs... I got down to doing my theory... Managed to finish 2 questions today... So I've got another 7 more questions to complete before my exam next Saturday... And I'm also hoping to recover soon 'cause I'll be having my rehearsals next week and also my exams are next week... And I'll most probably be starting work full time the following week... So I guess I can't afford to go in sick... Sigh...

Anyway, I stayed there till about 2215hrs... My music teacher sent me home... Reached home at around 2220hrs... Went to wash up and after that, I came to blog... And you also called me... Then you said you wanted to go help do 'sai kang' and that you'll call me back... Well, I'm waiting for you now... Gonna do some stuff... So till tomorrow... I love you darling... Miss you lots!!!! Can't wait for you to get home...

Day 55 of OBO... Shu's birthday!!!!

Today was a very SIAN day... Had work to do in office, no doubt about that... But it was really horrible things... Oh well... I'm also feeling quite lousy today... Having a really bad throat... Think I'm coming down for a sore throat soon... Sigh

Anyway, I woke up at around 0945hrs this morning... Went to wash up and then went down to wait for Colin... Well during that time, I was talking to Dad about my new job... Well, Dad was very supportive... So that's good... He was even talking about going into UN and all that... Well, Colin came at around 1100hrs...

Reached office at around 1130hrs... Got down to work... Settled some emails and some payments... Then after that got down to tidying up all the accounts to prepare it for handover when I leave... I also put the accounting system in place and created a word document to account for the filing system... So at least they won't be lost when I leave... Then after that, Colin asked me to collate all his email addresses... Well I got very sian of it... Sigh...

Well I left office at around 1800hrs... Went to Somerset to meet Grace, Shu Xian, and Marie... We went to Coffee Club for dinner... Well we celebrated Shu's birthday... Got her a mud pie... And of course we shared it 'cause it was humongous... Well and that obviously didn't help my throat... Anyway, we hung out till about 2130hrs before we headed home...

I reached home at around 2220hrs... Went to wash up... And then spoke to you for a while before you said you had to go and re queue to continue talking later... After that, I came up here to blog and also settle some of the musical stuff... Sigh... Big headache that one... But I guess it'll all be alright at the end of the day... That's of course with much prayer and cooperation and compromise... Sigh... Anyway, I need to go and sleep now... Feeling very lousy now... So I'll continue tomorrow... Till then... Day 54 of OBO... I got the job!!!!

Today was a pretty slack day... Nothing much happened... Didn't do much in office... Well and it was another cold and rainy day again today... Sigh... The only exciting thing was that I got a call regarding my interview yesterday... You'll read more about that later...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0700hrs plus... Spoke to you for a while then we got cut off abruptly... Well, I then went back to sleep and woke up again at around 0945 to get ready for work... Could afford to get up a bit later today 'cause Colin was picking me up... Well, I went to wash up and then went down to wait for him... Played the piano for a while and then I received a message from him saying that he's on his way...

He reached at around 1030hrs... It was around that time when the rain started pouring in sheets... But it was only for a short while... So it wasn't to bad... Anyway, we went to Serangoon Gardens to go to the bank and collect mail from the PO box before heading to office... We reached office at around 1100hrs or so... Well, the whole morning was spent clearing emails, writing cheques, finalising insurances plans for the company, calling people to chase for payment etc... So I was pretty busy till lunch...

Well, during that time, I received a call from Drum Cussac, the company that I went for an interview with yesterday, saying that I got the job!!!! Well, I was super elated 'cause it's my first full time job... And also it's going to be a permanent thing... And also that mean's I'll can build up my savings and when you get home, we can embark on our 'plan for the future' mission... :)... I'm so looking forward to that... And that also means that'll I'll have more funds in my CPF for future use... Yeah!!! Well I'll be on a 6-month probation and then I'll be more or less confirmed already... So exciting... I'll probably be starting in a couple of weeks time... So I'm very much looking forward to it...

Well, Colin brought me to the Joo Chiat prawn noodles for lunch.. It was yummy... But the only drawback was there was too much MSG in it... So I didn't quite like the after feeling... I can still feel it now... Yucks!!!! Anyway, after prawn noodles, he went to get putu piring from the Banquet food court near by... It's not bad... Only thing is that I'd prefer it with more gula melaka (palm sugar)... But it was good... Will take you there to try it when you get home... ^_^... Anyway, after lunch, we went back to office... I reconciled a bit of the accounts and after I was done with that, I was on face book... That was all I did until it was time to leave...

We left office at around 1900hrs... Colin dropped me at Potong Pasir 'cause he was headed down to town for some stuff... So I took a bus from there to my music teacher's place... As usual, I was doing my theory... I still have one and a half more papers to finish up by next Thursday... Shouldn't be a problem I guess... Stayed there till about 2230hrs and my music teacher sent me home... Reached home at around 2245hrs... That's when you called... I was actually in my music teacher's car when you called... So she actually drove much faster so I could get home quick to talk to you... So sweet of her... Well we talked for a bit before you had your business to do... I went to wash up and then came online and helped 妹妹 with her accounting stuff... She was revising for her UT tomorrow... So she was clarifying her doubts with me, since I aced my accounting... Well you called back during that time and we had a conference... For the first time in almost a year... LOL... Well you hung up shortly after... So hopefully you'll call me back later during your watch... Anyway, after we hung up, I came here to blog...

So that's about what happened today... I'm very excited about my new job... Looking forward to it... Praying that everything will work out for me... Day 53 of OBO... Job Interview...

Today was a rather warm but windy day... Super nice day... Haven't had such a good day in a long while... Really enjoyed the weather...

I woke up this morning at around 0845hrs... Went to wash up and got ready for my interview... Was looking forward to it 'cause if I do get it, it'll be my stepping stone into the working world... And I'm looking forward to that... 'Cause I'll have financial independence and will also be building up the funds in my CPF account... So hopefully there'll be enough to get a nice cosy place when the time comes... ^_^... Anyway, back to the subject matter... Well, I wore one of my office outfits and had to use my oh-so-dreaded court shoes...

Well I left the house at about 1000hrs... Took a bus to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station and then hopped onto the train to get to Bugis... Well, I had a really nice walk... It was very breezy and the sun was not too hot... It was really a comfortable walk... Absolutely fantabulous weather... So anyway, it wasn't hard to find the office... It's a really cosy office... And very friendly environment too... The people there are really very warm too... Well the interview went really well... So I'm hoping I can get the job...

After the interview, I walked back to Bugis to catch the train to Dhoby Ghuat and then, the bus back to office... I reached office at around 1400hrs... Got down to finish up what ever I had to do and by 1500hrs, I was free... I was surfing the Internet and replying to an email about the musical stuff... And I also had my lunch, which was actually a sardine puff and fried squid head from Old Chang Kee... I also had to do a quotation in between... Today was rather slack... Nothing much to do...

Well, I left the office at around 1800hrs... Walked over to your place to collect your letters and see your mum and Baby... Well mum's doing much better now... And Baby was so excited to see me that she actually peed on the floor! First time... LOL... And 妹妹 misses you a lot... She finds the house so quite without you... And she misses being able to disturb you... Well I stayed for a while before heading down to bible class... Reached class at around 1925hrs... Had my dinner... It was a beef steak sandwich (the same as yesterday) and an apple...

Well class ended at around 0950hrs... Mum and I walked to the bus stop on Yio Chu Kang Road to catch 70 home... Along the way, we saw a bike crash at the junction of Yio Chu Kang Road and Buangkok Green... It was terrible... The motorcyclist was lying on the ground... And I think his right hand was bleeding 'cause it was elevated... Well that sight reminded me of when you had your crash... Sigh... Drivers today are getting more and more reckless... Horrible!!

Anyway, we reached home at around 2230hrs... I went to wash up and then came online to clear out my emails and blog... So here I am... This pretty much sums up today... I'm praying hard that I get this job... So at least it'll be easier when we plan for our future... I'm looking forward to that... It's 2months left before you get home... So near yet so far... Sigh... And you had better not go away for so long ever again!!!!! Anyway, I need to get to sleep now... Have to wake up for work tomorrow... So good night... Sleep tight... Sweet dreams... Day 52 of OBO... Yet another rainy day

Today was rather cold... It rained in the morning and it's raining now... So different from yesterday, which was scorching hot... I was freezing in the office 'cause the air con was blowing directly at me and there was something wrong with the thermostat... And now that I'm at home, I'm in my Navy PT kit and I've got my sweat shirt on too... And soon, I'll be under my blanket and will still be freezing...

Anyway, I woke up this morning to your phone call... Spoke to you for a bit... It made the cold morning a bit warmer... Well I woke up at around 0900hrs... Went to wash up and then went to wait for Colin... During that time, I tinkled on the piano for a bit... Well Colin came around 1100hrs... And we then headed down to office...

Well there was nothing much to do... Replied several emails and then polished up the catalogue and keyed in stuff to update the accounts... Nothing much to do really... Finished all my work by about 1500hrs... So I was pretty much free for the rest of the day...

I had my lunch at around 1530hrs... Brought a beef steak sandwich... Something which I've been craving for for the longest time!!!! Well it was yummy... And of course there's the usual apple... Well, during that time, I was working out some budgets... And also managed to discuss it with you... Well, will let you take a look at it when you get home... Was also taking a look at caterers... Found a few ones that catered yummy stuff... And I've tried their range... And it's not bad... So can consider them for parties... Also checked out the PMO's website to look for jobs... Saw something about a Foreign Service Officer... That's a Ministry of Foreign Affairs position... Well it's basically being a diplomat... So you get to work in Singapore embassies all over the world... And if you're good, they'll just make you an ambassador some day... Some thing on my 'I've always wanted to be' list ... And the best part, the whole family can follow you when you get posted overseas... That means your spouse and kids can follow you... Well I'm still undecided... Will wait and see... Might just apply and see if they reply...

Anyway, I stayed in the office till about 1900hrs... Colin then dropped me off at my music teacher's place... Did my theory there... As usual... Exam's in about a week's time... So I'm starting to up my pace... So far so good... But I need to study all my foreign terms... There's Italian, German and French terms and names of instruments to remember... Managed to finish the composition question... So that was alright... Now I need to practice the second question... After that one is done, everything should be settled... Hopefully I can get my distinction... Fingers crossed!!!!! Well, I stayed there till about 2200hrs... Then my music teacher sent me home...

Reached home at around 2205hrs... Went to wash up immediately... After washing up, I went to photocopy all my documents for tomorrow's interview and also helped 妹妹 vet through her RJ... After all that, I came up here to blog... So here I am... LOL...

That's my day for me today... Kinda slack... Not too bad... And I'm praying that I get the job I'm interviewing for tomorrow... Then can save up more for... ^_^... Day 51 of OBO... Lazy Day...

Today was a very lazy day... Hardly accomplished anything... Stayed home for most of the day... It's actually the slackest Sunday I've had so far...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0800hrs to talk to you... We spoke for almost an hour... Talked about a lot of things... Well, you then had to go off 'cause someone else wanted to use the phone... Well, you called me back about 20 minutes later... And we spoke for a short while before you had to go because the coxswain was there and you were on watch... After speaking to you, I went back to sleep... Slept till about 1200hrs...

Well, I went to wash up and then went down to make lunch... Made myself the barbecue chicken and cheese sandwich... But this time it was different... I ran out of blue cheese, so I substituted it for cheddar cheese... It tasted quite nice... In fact, it's an ideal substitute for people who can't stand blue cheese... Well I had my lunch and talked to dad... Then came back onto the computer to do some things... Well, I did a sample of the program booklet for the musical... Managed to finish it... And I sent it out to my in-charge and another committee member... Well they both said that it was not bad and that they like it... So it might be circulated on the day of the musical... Well, after that, I got down to your scrapbook again... Tidying everything up and also thinking of ways to make it look nicer... Well I managed to come up with something... So you'll get to see it when you get home... And I hope you like it... Well, after that, I went to wash up again ('cause it was rather warm today) and got ready to go to church... Again... And don't get me wrong... I'm not complaining... In fact, I need more things to keep me occupied...

I left my place at around 1755hrs to meet Jillian at Novena MRT Station... That's 'cause the choir was singing for a mass at Novena Church... Well, I managed to reach at around 1835hrs... When I got out of the train, I saw quite a few choir members too... All sopranos... LOL... That's my section... Well, there was Jennifer, Nicole and Michelle (she's going to play my daughter in the musical...^_^)... Nicole and Michelle followed Jillian and I, while Jennifer went along with her friend... We sat a BK... I had a Hershey's Sundae... Haven't had it in a long while... So anyway, we sat there and talked for a bit and then we headed off to church... The choir loft was super duper warm... 'Cause there was a huge spotlight shining on the stain glass of the church... Anyway, we sang really well today... So that was good...

After mass, we went to the Redemptorist (the order of priests who runs Novena Church) Quarters for some refreshments... Had a bit to eat and after that, Jillian and I headed home... Well I took the train to Yio Chu Kang... And I had to run for the bus... I managed to catch it... I reached home at around 2250hrs... Went to wash up immediately and you called just as I finished washing up... So after that, I came up here to blog and also went to clear out my emails...

Well that's pretty much it for today... Quite a lazy day... Nothing of great interest... I still miss you to bits... And I'm longing even more for you to come home... So... Good night... Sweet dreams... And I love you LOTS!!!!!!!! *hugz*

Day 50 of OBO... One more week gone!!!!!

Today was a pretty cold day... I was, quite literally, freezing my guts out... Anyway, most of today was spent in church... And one more week has gone!!! And it's 8 more Saturday's before I get to hold you in my arms again... So fast yet so slow... I want it now!!!!! Haiz...

Anyway, I woke up at 0900hrs today... Went to bathe and get ready to meet Jill to go for the 1100hrs Novena session... Well, I left my place at around 0950hrs... Caught the 1000hrs bus, which was super cold, and reached Toa Payoh MRT Station at about 1025hrs, which was still cold because it was air conditioned... Well, for once I didn't have to wait long for Jillian... She was on time today... So that's good... Well, we reached Novena at around 1040hrs... We were sitting directly under the fan... And me, already feeling cold, started to freeze... But I'd rather freeze than perspire... So that was alright... Anyway, during the Novena session, I noticed that in front of me was a couple who were like us... One's a catholic and the other's not... Well, the guy was the catholic one and he was explaining the on-goings of everything during the whole novena... Well it just got me thinking of what it's going to be like when you follow me to this when you get home... And don't worry, you don't have to kneel...

After the novena, we walked over to the KFC at Novena Square for lunch... I had the usual 2-piece chicken meal... And, well, I froze even more 'cause the drink was cold... Duh... LOL... Well, after lunch, we walked to the bus stop across the road to get to church... For once, I welcomed the warmth... Well we caught the bus almost immediately... And all that warmth was short-lived as the air con in the bus was on full blast... So once again, I started to freeze... Well, we reached church at around 1330hrs... Well that's because I had to meet up with David, the guy whom I'll be working with on the choreography for the main cast of the Christmas musical, to see how to get the layout of the stage done and the practice schedule...

Well, while waiting for David to come, Jill and I did some studying... She was studying for her exams next week and I was doing my music theory... Well we studied till about 1440hrs... That's when David came and we went to get down to the musical stuff... After that, we went for the musical committee meeting... My first committee meeting in this choir... Well, I didn't say much... Just sat and observed... And only gave input when asked to do so... And I've also got the rehearsal dates too... It'll be every Wednesday starting from 31st October (that's Halloween)... And there'll be a technical rehearsal on the 23rd of December... Will you follow me for that one? Please? It'll probably be in the afternoon or evening... Well, after meeting, we had our usual choir practice and then went for mass... Today's mass was a bit longer because there was confirmation... I'll explain it to you, if you'd like, when we speak next or when you get home...

After mass, I met Nat, my sister, and we caught the 163 home... Reached home at about 2040hrs... Had a bit to eat and then came up to wash up... Just as I got out of the bathroom, you called... Well, we spoke for a bit and then you said you'd call me back at about 2330hrs... So I'm waiting for you now... Oh well... That's pretty much today... Nothing of particular interest... I'm just waiting for you to get home... So anyway, I need to get down to some stuff... I'll blog again tomorrow... I love you darling!!! Miss you lots!!!

Day 49 of OBO... Worry all over again...

Today was quite sucky... I was really feeling under the weather... I honestly don't know why... Everything just seemed out of place today... It's weird... Sigh...

I woke up at 0750hrs today by my message tone... I opened it only to find a Singtel call alert message saying that someone had tried to call me twice when I was unreachable... The number displayed looked vaguely familiar and for some reason, something kept telling me to check the number of your ship that I saved in my mobile... After checking your ship's number, I managed to match it to it... I was feeling really shit that you couldn't call in... Especially when you didn't call at all last night... I was super worried... I was really scared that something had happened and I just kept praying for your safety and that the line would be up... I really had a horrible night last night... I just could not sleep... It took me forever to get to bed... So obviously when I saw that message this morning, I was praying that you will call back and not just stop at trying twice... Well you did call back about 15minutes later... We talked for a while and then you had to go 'cause your watch was ending... Well, you called me not too long after your watch ended... We talked for a bit and then we had to hang up 'cause you were getting tired... Oh well... At least I got to talk to you first thing in the morning... So I guess I can't complain...

After we hung up, I went to wash up to get ready for work... After washing up, I went to play the piano... Tried a new piece my music teacher gave me... Quite coincidentally, the name of the piece was October... And it was quite a gloomy piece 'cause it was about going from the hot cheery summer into the fall and then to the grayish winter... Well I went to watch a home decor programme after that... After that, I went to rummage for some chocolates... But before I could get hold of something I liked, Colin came... He was earlier today... He reached at around 1045hrs...

We reached office at around 1100hrs... For some reason, the work piled up over night... From nothing to do yesterday to a hell lot to do today... This morning, I had to read through insurance policies and help Colin decide which is the best policy to choose for the company... Then I had to find out advertising rates... And I also needed to prepare invoices and what not... And for some reason, everything I did this morning felt wrong... Well basically, the first part of the day passed really slowly... And it didn't help that my Antarctica area got even colder thanks to the rain... Sigh... Well, I managed to finish everything by about 1545hrs or so... So that's when I had my lunch... Had a tuna sandwich... Well after yesterday's Rawa Thosai, I'm craving for it... Especially the masala mutton we had... I'm craving for really spicy stuff... Anyway, after lunch, I had nothing to do again... So I surfed the Internet, hoping to find something to do... Well obviously there was nothing to do... And it was during this time that the uneasy feeling I had this morning intensified... Honestly, I just felt like breaking down... So anyway, Colin came back not too long after that and asked me to key in all the One Systems USA products into the accounting system... Well I did that within half an hour.. So what followed was another hour or so of boredom...

Well, we finally left the office at around 2000hrs... I went for music again... Did my theory as usual... Managed to finish another 2 more questions from my test paper... So that's good... I would have to do more soon... Maybe on Sunday... Well, I stayed there till about 2230hrs... My music teacher dropped me home and just when I was about to get my pajamas, you called... We spoke for a bit... And you said you had to go 'cause there was a long queue behind... So after that, I sent you and email and then went to wash up... After washing up, I came up here to blog...

That's what my day was like... Honestly, it was horrible... In fact, this week's the worse week in October so far... Everything just went wrong after what happened on Monday... Haiz... Oh well... Shit happens... Anyway, I'm getting tired... Need to wake up early tomorrow too... So I'll be waiting for your call... Please please please don't give me a reason to worry alright? I love you darling... I miss you heaps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, everyone misses you to bits!!! So please get your butt home quickly...

Day 48 of OBO... Paid to slack...

Today was another very very lazy day... Started work late and ended early... And the best part, there was nothing to do in between!!!! LOL... This is the best job in the world!!! Paid to slack!!!!!

Anyway, I woke up at around 0805hrs... Well that's 'cause you called.. ^_^... Anyway, we talked for about 15minutes then we had to hang up 'cause you were on watch... I then took a 10minute nap and then woke up at around 0830hrs to make my sandwich... I found a recipe yesterday for a barbecue chicken and blue cheese sandwich... So I got mum to buy roast chicken, sour cream and barbecue sauce yesterday... Anyway, I made the sandwich... Didn't actually follow the amounts in the recipe... Just made everything according to my taste... Well I had a 'sneak preview' of the taste... Well it was not bad... Well, after that I went to wash up and get ready for work... After washing up, I went to get down to the last bits of my music theory that I didn't complete last night... Managed to complete it very quickly... I then went to tinkle on the piano for a bit... Well, after playing the piano, I went to watch a bit of TV... Colin finally came at around 1100hrs...

Well we reached office at about 1115hrs... There was literally NOTHING to do today... Colin and I just sat at our CPUs and stared at our screens... I was surfing the Internet... Don't know for what too.. Anyway, not too long after that, our colleague said that two boys were coming to help us clear out the office so that we'd have our proper work stations... Well Colin finally moved into his room and I moved to where he was... So I'm in the coldest part of the office now... And the office is super spacious and neat now!!! I LIKE!!! LOL... We went for Rawa thosai (I think that's what it's called) after that... It was super yummy... Well we could go there if you'd like to try it when you get home... Anyway, we went back to office after that and stayed for a bit before heading home...

As usual, I didn't go home straight... Went for music first... Today was really productive... I managed to complete the last two questions of a paper... So I've got another 2.5 more papers to complete before my exams in 16days time... So that's 1 paper every 3 days... I'm getting the hang of things... So that's good... Hopefully I can get a distinction and get the scholarship... Oh well... Must study hard now...

That was pretty much my day... I think I need to get to sleep... Think I've got a bit of a caffeine poisoning... Don't worry... I didn't OD... It's just that the caffeine from the tea I had this afternoon's taking effect... Trying to get it out of my system by drinking lots of water... That's the only way... Day 47 of OBO... Boring...

Today was an absolutely boring day!!!!!! You'll find out why later... Weather wise... Well it was sunny for the whole day... Or at least that was the case on my side... Not a single drop of rain... But even then, with or without rain, the air con in the office is still freaking cold!! It's bloody Antarctica there!! Penguins and polar bears will be sure to love it... I was freezing my guts out even though it was scorching hot outside... Oh well...

Anyway, I woke up at around 0815hrs... Well that's 'cause my alarm rang... But I put it on snooze and decided to take another 5-minute shut eye... Well that 5 minutes ended up as 25 minutes... So obviously I was panicking for the second time this week 'cause I knew that I would be late again!!!! Twice in one week is TOTALLY unacceptable!!!!! Besides, I hate being late... Anyway, I washed up in a recording-breaking 10minutes and flew out of the house at 0900hrs... And brisked walk to the bus stop... Waited for about 15 minutes for the bus... That's the latest timing I could take... Anything after that would mean I'll be late... Reached Hougang in about 10minutes... 151 came immediately... So I reached work at around 1000hrs...

Well, upon reaching office, I turned on everything... As usual, I was the first one to reach 'cause Colin and Sat were at a site... So I was on my own for the first part of the afternoon... Well I had nothing to do at all... I had finished everything, from the accounts to the catalogue, so basically, I had completed my work... At least for the week or month... Well I surfed the Internet until there was nothing else to surf... During that time, the Polar Water delivery guy came to deliver the new water dispenser and three 5-gallon (19 litres) bottles of water... After that, I then decided to do my music theory... Did one question... And finished it... And still had a lot of time on my hands... Sigh... I was literally BORED TO DEATH!!!!! Thank God Colin came back at about 1300hrs... So I asked him for things to do... Well, he gave me a press release to write... Well, that was easy 'cause I had written press releases when I was working in the Marketing Communication Department at Mandarin Hotel... So I more or less knew how to phrase everything... The only thing I didn't know how to do was the technical specifications of the products... Well obviously because that's not my area of expertise... So that kept me occupied till about 1645hrs... After that, there was nothing to do once again for the next 2 hours...

Well I had my lunch at around 1500hrs... Well that's the usual time I eat now 'cause I won't have time for lunch 'cause I would be going straight to music from work... I brought a ham sandwich and an apple... So that was lunch... Later in the evening I also had beh teh saw... Colin bought it from Malaysia... It was really good... And really addictive too... Well I also brought 3 raisin buns... Ate one in the morning and 2 while on the way to music... Well towards the end of the day, I searched the Internet for sandwich recipes... Found a yummy BBQ chicken with Blue Cheese recipe... So I'm going to make that for lunch tomorrow... Oh well... That's also keeping my figure and weight in shape... Honestly, I think my figure now is much better than it was when I was participating in all that pageants... LOL... What an irony...

Anyway, left office at around 1845hrs... Took 151 to Hougang and changed to 854 to get to my music teacher's place (well, she lives around my estate you see)... Reached at around 2000hrs... That's when you called... So talked to you for a bit and then went to get down to my theory again... Managed to finish another question... And I also brought a book home to photocopy some exercises so that my music teacher can mark... Well that's so that I can remember what I learnt eons ago... Yup... Well that's 'cause I stopped for about 5years before I decided to finish it all up... Well, I finished at around 2205hrs... Then my music teacher sent me home...

I reached home at around 2215hrs... Went to photocopy the music exercises and then went to wash up... After that, I came up here to blog... Again... As usual... It's part of my daily routine now... Anyway, that was pretty much my day... I need to get down to my music stuff now... You can expect another blog entry tomorrow again... So till then... Good night... Sweet dreams... Sleep tight... Day 46 of OBO... I've got the role!!!!

Today was a very stormy day... At least for the whole evening... This morning was rather shiny... In fact, it was quite warm... Anyway, today was a very slack day... Didn't do much at all... So that's good...

I woke up at around 0915hrs today... Could sleep in a bit more today 'cause Colin was picking me up... Went to wash up and got ready for work... After that, I went to get some breakfast... Had a slice of Martini cake... It was yum yum... Only thing was no taste of martini at all... But it was not bad... After that I went to play the piano for a while then went outside to wait for Colin... He came around 1130hrs...

Well we didn't go to office straight... We went to Serangoon Gardens first to drop a cheque in and then went to collect mail from the Serangoon PO Box... We went to Hougang for lunch... And he wanted to get a rose bouquet for his darling to be... Well it was her birthday you see... So anyway, we had gu bak kway tiao for lunch... The one we went to when I had my exam practice before we went to the cruise centre for our cruise to Redang... Remember? Well after that we went back to office...

We reached office around 1230 or so... Maybe a bit later too... Anyway, I got down to the last part of the accounts... So it's finally finished... Reconciled everything... So now it's more or less balanced... Another headache down... And Colin also gave me another task... He's asking me to write press releases now... And for every article I release, I get a bit of commission... So that's good!!! Can save more... So that's all I did today at the office... Nothing much at all...

Well I left the office at around 1830hrs... Colin dropped me off Potong Pasir MRT Station... When I crossed over to the other side, the floodgates opened... It was pouring buckets... It looked like it was 2000hrs when it was only 1835hrs! So anyway, I caught the bus to get to bible class... I took 147 and had to alight at Serangoon Stadium... My shoes and jeans were soaking wet 'cause of the rain... Even the umbrella couldn't keep me dry... Well I stopped over at the SPC to pay your Singtel bill at the AXS station there... Then went on to SPI (that's where the bible class is at)... Class finished at around 0950hrs... Caught a cab home 'cause Mum was tired...

So I reached home at around 2200hrs... Well I got a call from one of the choir committee members who told me that I got a lead role in the upcoming Christmas musical in church... I actually found out last night 'cause I received the email then... I'll be playing the Mother of 3 kids... 2 girls and a boy... LOL... So exciting... I'm looking forward to rehearsals... It's starting soon... I'm going to be super super busy from the end of this month onwards... Looking forward to it actually... :)... I just love acting... I should go join MediaCorp huh... LOL... And be the next ah jie of Caldecott Hill... Hahaz...

Anyway, that's pretty much today... Of course getting the role's keeping my spirits elevated... But it's needless to say that nothing can make me more elated than what you proposed... Hehez... I think everyone would have guessed what it is by now... LOL... Opps... Hehez... Anyway, I got to sleep now... Need to wake up early tomorrow... Got to go to work on my own tomorrow... Day 45 of OBO... Tired...

Today started off really horribly for me... Hardly had enough sleep 'cause I was finishing up a few important things... First was my Drum Cussac Recruitment Essay and the other's a surprise for you, my love...

I got to bed at about 0315hrs last night, or early this morning actually... Well you called about an hour later and we spoke for a while... By time I got back to sleep, it was already 0515hrs... I only had about 3hours of sleep after that... I was so tired that I slept through my alarm, only to be woken up by my mum at about 0915hrs! I had overslept for a good one hour!!! Well I had to wake up much earlier today 'cause Colin wasn't picking me up for work... So I had to go on my own... Obviously I was very grouchy... Well I got ready in 10minutes and by 0930hrs, I was already out of the house... I walked out to the bus stop and just as I was crossing the road, 854 drove by! I was super frustrated by then... Well luckily 70 came about 2 minutes later and so I took it to get to Serangoon MRT Station to take the train to Potong Pasir and then from there, I'll walk to office... Along the way, 147 appeared behind the bus... So I alighted at the next stop and took 147 to the bus stop just before Jackson Market (it's already gone, by the way)... Well, I walked to office from there...

I managed to reach office at around 1015hrs... Despite of waking up late and all that, I was still the earliest in office... Sat hadn't come in yet and Colin was at home... So I guess that was OK la... Well I got down to finishing up the accounts today... Managed to key in everything that was needed... Now I just need to look for missing invoices and cheque stubs to consolidate all the 'unpaid' items... It's in a super huge ass mess... Sigh...

Well, I left the office at around 1300hrs for a while... Went to post out your surprise... And I got caught in the rain... Super heavy downpour... Luckily I had my umbrella with me... So I didn't get wet... You called again at around 1430hrs... That would be just after your watch... We spoke for a bit then you had to go to muster... I had my lunch not too long after we hung up... That was probably about 1515hrs... Had an egg sandwich and an apple which I brought from home... And yes, I'm trying to maintain my weight and tummy now after losing 4-5kg last month... So that's why I'm eating food from home... Cannot afford to eat out everyday... Not good for health also... And when you get back, I'll cook so that you won't have to eat out so often... Too much sausages and nuggets and processed food not good for you... And since that's your diet now, it'll have to be changed when you come home... I'll make sure you get yummy, nutritious meals...

Anyway, I left office at around 1915hrs... Colin dropped me off at music class... Did my theory as usual... Managed to finish two questions... Oh... My music just got two kittens... They're so so cute... Only 5months old... And they love the camera... They actually posed for my music teacher to take a photo... So adorable... One's a grayish colour and the other's white with dark brown spots on it's head... They're so friendly too... Just so sweet... Well I was there till about 2230hrs... Then my music teacher sent me home... Reached at around 2240hrs... Went to scavenge for something to eat... Well I ended up eating Belinjao (an Indonesia cracker) with black sauce and blue cheese and crackers... My neighbour also gave a martini cake... Apparently it's not bad... I've yet to try it... If it's nice, I think I might get it for your birthday next year... So after that, I came up to wash up and then got down to blogging and clearing out my emails...

So that's pretty much what happened today... Nothing really interesting... Quite normal actually... Oh well... I think it's about time I hit the sack... Another long day tomorrow... Actually this week's going to be a busy week... So I think I need to get more rest to keep my energy up... So good night... Sleep tight... Last call for sweet dreams airline... Day 44 of OBO... Dad's birthday...

Today wasn't a really busy day for me... Didn't do much at all... Woke up a bit later than usual, did some stuff and then went for the auditions for the Christmas musical and your Dad's birthday...

I woke up at around 1000hrs... Went to look at the stamps my mum had 'cause I had something in mind to send you for our 1st anniversary... Looked through them to get some ideas and I came up with something... After that, I went to wash up and then got down to doing it... It's another paper project... And I hope it reaches you by the time you make your next port call... Fingers crossed!!!!

Anyway, I had lunch after that... Sister Claire (one of the nuns from church) came over for lunch too... After lunch, I changed and got ready to go and meet Jillian, and together, we'd head down for the auditions... I left the house at about 1430hrs... Caught the bus almost immediately and reached Toa Payoh at around 1510hrs... It was quite fast... The audition went quite well... Had to do a narrative part, sing solo and dance to a song... It was quite easy actually... One of the most relaxed auditions ever... But I guess it's for church so that's why it was not too bad... The audition finished at around 1720hrs... So Jillian and I went across to McDonald's to get a snack... She had fries while I had an apple pie...

I left Macs at around 1740hrs... Caught the 1750hrs 153... Reached Serangoon at around 1610hrs and the vegetarian restaurant at around 1620hrs... So I waited for everyone to come... Your Dad and Mum came first then 姐姐, Kevin, Mary-ann, Kait Kait, Andy and Winnie arrived later... Dad and Mum were asking about you... Your dad was asking about where you are now... And your mum was asking when you'd be coming home... They really miss you a lot... Anyway, the food today was much better than the last time... And we had the yam ring!!! Finally!!! LOL... Well, throughout dinner, your mum was asking 姐姐 to put food on my plate... Initially 姐姐 thought she wanted more food... But when I told her that I'd help myself, 姐姐 was laughing and saying that she thought Mum was asking for more... And she also said that your mum is starting to treat me like her own... LOL... Anyway, you called just as dinner ended... So you were in time to wish your Dad happy birthday and talk to everyone else...

Well, after that, we made our way home... I walked over to Serangoon MRT Station to catch 70... I reached home at around 2115hrs... Went to wash up and settle my essay stuff and reply to emails and then came here to blog... So here I am blogging now... ^_^... That's pretty much my day... Quite a lazy day actually... Oh well... Anyway, I've got to carry on doing some stuff to make it for the mail tomorrow... So I love you darling!!!! And I miss you lots!!!! 9 more weeks and counting!!!! Yeah!!!!

Day 43 of OBO... Selamat Hari Raya Adilfitri

Today's a public holiday... It's Hari Raya Puasa... And it also happens to be 妹妹's birthday... Well, it was also a rather rainy day... Rained from 1100hrs onwards... It did stop in between... But it just poured... Think the monsoon's early this year... Or there's a real drastic change in the climate... The average temperature range everyday now is much higher than it was in the past... So I'm thinking it's probably the effects of global warming...

Well, I woke up at 0805hrs... That's because you called... Don't get me wrong... I'm not complaining... I always see it as a blessing when you call... 'Cause that means you're safe... We spoke until about 0825hrs when the line got cut off... Sigh... Well, I went back to nap for about another 30minutes or so before I went to take my shower... I changed and left the house at about 1000hrs to go for the 1100hrs novena session with Jillian...

That girl really knows how to get on my nerves... She lost her phone on Wednesday evening, and that made her uncontactable... Prior to today, I told her to meet me at Toa Payoh MRT Station platform at door 17... And I reminded her again when she called me this morning... She said OK and all that... I caught the train to Toa Payoh, only to find that she was not there... And we were already running late... I waited for her until 1055hrs and got fed-up and decided to leave without her... So I got on to the next train and went to Novena Station, only to find her waiting there!!!! So irritating... Don't even know how to follow simple instructions!!!!! Grrrrrr... And it didn't help that it was pouring outside and she didn't have an umbrella! She just never learns her lesson!!!

Anyway, the session had just started when we reached... So we didn't miss anything... But that's not the point... I just hate to be late for anything... Anyway, novena ended at about 1145hrs... Then Jillian and I met my family and we went to an old family friend's place for Hari Raya lunch... According to my mum, we've been going to their place for the past 18years... Well this friend used to be our part time helper... And she saw me grow up... So ya... Well we stayed there till about 1600hrs before Jillian, Nat (my sister) and I went to church while the rest of them went home... Went for choir and then for mass... And after mass, Nat and I caught the bus home... Well that's when you called... But we hardly spoke 'cause I reminded you about the Citibank charges and you insisted on calling them there and then... And you said you'd call me back later... But until now, I'm still waiting for that call... Oh well... I guess you'll probably call me at about 0300hrs again...

Well, we reached home at about 2030hrs... Had dinner... I had sayor lodeh with serundeng (it's the vegetable bit of Lontong with the coconut topping, if that's what it's called)... Dad, Mum, Nat and I were also discussing about what to name our kids and all that over dinner... Quite fun... Mum gave me a suspicious look... Dad didn't bother... Or maybe he just didn't think so far... LOL... Anyway, after dinner, I went to wash up and came online to submit the confirmation form and passport details for my mission and then after that, came here to blog... The usual stuff...

Anyway, I've got to get down to the Drum Cussac recruitment essay now... So I'm hoping to get it done and sent out by tomorrow before lunch... And tomorrow's going to be another packed day for me... I'll be going for auditions for the Christmas Musical being put up by the choir in the afternoon and then in the evening, I'll be meeting 妹妹, Andy, 姐姐, Kevin and their family and Mother and Father at the usual vegetarian restaurant to celebrate Father's birthday... So ya... Anyway, I love you darling... I miss you lots!!!! 9 more weeks before you come home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for that...

Day 42 of OBO... EXPENSIVE!!!!

Today was a pretty slack day... I had the whole office to myself... Everyone was out for their own reasons... Colin went up to Malaysia, while Sat was running around to the different project sites... So it was just me, myself and I in the office the whole of today...

I woke up this morning at around 0830hrs... Was super tired... Maybe that's why I felt this morning was a bit colder than usual... I went to wash up... Soaked myself in hot water... It was just so SHIOK!!! Well I got changed and left the house at about 0850hrs... Caught the 0910hrs bus and reached work at around 0955hrs... Travelling time today was really fast... The 151 came almost immediately after I alighted from 854... And traffic was very smooth... Except for a little slow moving traffic on Hougang Ave 2... But that's normal...

I opened the office and then booted up my computer terminal... Took my own sweet time to settle in... Once my station was up, I cleared out the company email... Lots of junk mail... Then I got down to the accounts since I finished the catalogue yesterday... Reconciled the accounts payable... There's still a lot that are unaccounted for though... Think those were paid by cash or something... Must check with them again... Well, I more or less finished my work at around 1400hrs... Surfed the Internet the rest of the day...

I had my lunch at around 1445hrs... Had a tuna sandwich, an apple (because there were no more prunes) and a hot Milo, which was cold when I drank 'cause the air-con was blowing directly at it... Anyway, you called at around 1408hrs... You said that you've already read the mail I sent you last night about the chalet... And you said to go ahead with it... :)... So I'll be sending out invites soon... Hopefully everyone can make it... Anyway I was surfing the web for the rest of the day... Went to do research for the recruitment essay I've got to write... Found some things... So will probably get down to writing it tomorrow evening... Need to submit it by Monday... So ya...

Anyway, I got bored of that after a while... So I decided, just to past the time, to work out a budget for the future... Well there's only one scenario that I took into consideration... And no one will get a prize for guessing which scenario it is... ;D... Well I calculated everything... And assuming property prices start rising for whatever reason or there's a marked increase in the rate of inflation, we're probably looking between $400k-$500k for a normal 4-room HDB flat... And assuming that there's renovations and we decided to take a $30k renovation loan at interest 6.5% (think that's what NTUC thrift is offering) taken over a period of 2 years, we'll probably be looking at another $32k at least spent on renovations... Then plus all the furniture and household things and miscellaneous fees and what not, we'll probably be looking somewhere between $500-600k... But then again, I'm being very pessimistic... But it's always good to budget more, so at least we'll have enough... Of course, this budget needs more refining... We'll get down to that when you get home, OK? Anyway, with that in mind, I was also calculating how much we'd need to save to be at a comfortable level if we do decided to settle down in the next two years... Well, assuming we open a joint account and I start work in January next year, we'd have to put at least $900 each into that account every month and not withdraw anything... And by the end of 2 years, we'd have at least $42k... That's not inclusive of interest, which is almost negligible actually... Sigh... It's just so expensive to live here... And it's really not easy, as I've just found out... Well, it really is an eye opener for me... Never actually thought about all these things last time... Oh well... Part and parcel of life I guess...

Anyway, I left the office at around 1830hrs... Went to the POSB to drop my cheque from Comfort Del-gro... They've finally paid me after so so long... Then from there, I went for music... Caught the 151 and then 854 immediately after that... I reached music at around 1930hrs... Did my theory, as usual... Managed to complete one question... Now must start mugging already... Exams are in less than three weeks... Need more practice... Sigh... Oh well... Anyway, I was there till about 2215hrs... Then my music teacher sent me home... Went to wash up and then you called the moment I stepped out of the bathroom... LOL... I think we're more or less in sync now... LOL... Well after talking to you, I came here to blog...

That's pretty much my day... Quite relaxed... So not too bad... I guess... Well another week has gone and it's down to 9weeks more before you you come home!!! Almost half the journey has gone... Well I can't wait for December to come... 2 weeks to my exams, and after that it'll be 4 weeks before I fly off for my mission... And when I come home, it'll be 12 days before you reach home!!!!!!! I want time to fly much faster now... Anyway, I love you darling... I miss you lots!!!! Come home QUICK!!!!!! There's a lot to do and there's so little time... So HURRY!!!!!

Day 41 of OBO... Friends

Today was a pretty ordinary day... Nothing much to do... Quite lazy too... But now I've got the recruitment essay to think about... Sigh... Two jobs, both with equally good prospects... Don't know which to choose sia...

Anyway, I woke up this morning at about 0900hrs, as usual... Went to wash up and then went to wait for Colin... Talked to my dad about the researcher job... He said it's a good opportunity... 'Cause next time, can go into bigger organisations... Then can go on to government intelligence units too... Then he says that if I'm good, I could be posted overseas and maybe can even join UN later on... Bright prospects if I excel... But thinking again, if I did sales, the start would be difficult... But once I'm experienced, it'll be a breeze... And the money's good in the long run... And if the company expands, I'll be one of the pioneers... Anyway, I don't have to make that choice now... Will just continue to contemplate about it till the time comes to make a decision...

Anyway, Colin came around 1050hrs... He dropped me off at the office first and then went off for a meeting... Reached office at around 1105hrs... Went to clear out the mail and then cleaned up a bit of the accounts. After that, I got started on the catalogue again... Managed to finish it... But now must see where to improve and how to lay it out nicely... Did that for the whole day... Of course, in between I was surfing the Internet...

I went for lunch at around 1445hrs... Went to get a 大包 and a Milo... Didn't feel like eating much 'cause I was going to have dinner with the girls... So anyway, I brought it back to the office and ate and did work at the same time... I finished everything I had to do at about 1700hrs... So I carried on surfing the Internet doing research for my essay and also looking at property prices... Resale 4-room flats are going for between $350,000 - $450,000 on average... And these prices, apparently, are going to drop a bit more and stabilise by the end of this year or early next year... So the market looks good, although last year's was even better... For the condominiums, it's going somewhere between $800,000 - $3.5 or 4 million... But that also depends on the location... Oh well...

Anyway, I left the office at 1800hrs to go and meet the girls - Shu Xian, Marie and Grace - at Orchard MRT Station... Went to the McCafe for dinner... I had a sandwich and an Iced chocolate... The sandwich was not bad... Better than Delifrance actually... So we sat there and talked about everything... From jobs to our future to people who cheat on their spouses to celebrities who just cannot get a grip of themselves etc... Basically everything under the sun... Well, at the end of the day, we came to a common conclusion... This MTV world today does not know how to cherish things and that the sanctity of marriage has been totally forgotten... Very sad but true... But thankfully, there are those who are still true to these values...

We hung out till about 2130hrs before we made our way home... Took the train to Yio Chu Kang station and upon reaching, I had to run across the covered walkway from the station to the Ang Mo Kio Police Headquarters bus stop to catch 70... Well I managed to catch it... Considering that it's been ages since I last ran, let alone sprint... Reached home at about 2210hrs... Went to wash up and came online to clear out my emails and blog... The usual routine... Also helped 妹妹 out with her school work... They're learning philosophy in school now!!! Super amazing... And I'm learning new things everyday now... But at least it's comforting to see names which I came across during my sociological studies... So at least I can help her better... She's doing a lot better now... And her English is improving... Not as many grammatical errors as last time... So that's good... Wish you were here to see all these... Oh well... Anyway, I need to sleep now... If not tomorrow cannot get up... So, I love you darling... And I miss you lots... I'm waiting for your call... So I'm hoping that the network is functioning well... So good night... Sweet dreams...

Day 40 of OBO... 妹妹's birthday

Today was pretty normal... I'm starting to feel tired... I think the late nights are starting to have an effect on me... Work then music then home at 2200hrs plus... Then sleep late 'cause I need to do my own things and then by the time I go to sleep, it's almost 0100hrs or 0200hrs...

Anyway, I woke up around 0445hrs to answer your call... We hardly spoke 'cause the stupid phone was down... Didn't get to tell you everything I needed to... *pout* Anyway, I went back to sleep after that and woke up at around 0900hrs to get ready for work... Washed up and went down to wait for Colin... While waiting, I went to play the piano... I finally played the whole of Canon in D from start to end... There's so much stretching and many many chords that are more than an octave (8 notes in a normal scale)... Still not perfected yet... So must practice more... Then once I've gotten the hang of it, I must practice with speed... Then when that is done, must practice with the orchestra accompaniment... Then when that is perfected, I can go to the recording studio to record it... And then maybe can use for our wedding (when it happens that is), if I manage to master it by then... Hehez... Should be able to bah... Long way more to go anyway... Hehez... Planning too far... LOL...

Colin came at around 1100hrs... We went to one of our suppliers to get a price list and then went to office... Reached office at around 1145hrs... Then got down to the catalogue again... Did that for the whole freaking day... Didn't know what I was writing about... Sianz... So I just basically cut and paste and what not... Still need to edit I think... Haiz... Anyway, lunch was in the office again today... Brought my usual sandwich and prunes... Quite surprisingly, I'm not sick of it at all... Surfed the Internet too... Checked out photographers this time... Found out that the average cost is between $2-3k... For their specialities, it's usually $3.2k onwards... Oh well... Think I'll probably get one of my photographer friends to cover the event (parents' wedding anniversary... For those that are thinking our wedding, well that could be the prelude but you've got to wait a while longer... Long way more to go... And lots more to consider before we get down to settling down... So, sorry to disappoint)... That's practically what I did the whole of today in the office...

Left office at around 1815hrs... Walked to Potong Pasir and went to Dhoby Ghaut to meet Andy and 姐姐 and 姐夫 and the rest of the gang (妹妹 and I happened to be on the same train, but we didn't see each other at all!!! So 'heng')... We were going to give her a surprise... Well it wasn't really a surprise in the end 'cause she suspected something was going on when the waiter showed her to a long long table when it was only supposed to be her and Andy who were having dinner and apparently, she saw me walk in to take her cake... So ya... Anyway, she did come out and she saw Andy with the cake and we went in again... This time, we sang her the birthday song and the whole cafe joined in too... LOL... Kevin and Mary-ann made sure that it was super duper loud... Well, she didn't cry... So that's totally opposite of what you said would happen... So anyway, dinner went on as usual... I had a beef sandwich again... It's not bad... But I still prefer the one at Coffee Club... Like the sauteed onions... After dinner came the cake... It was a chocolate cake with a wafer base and dark chocolate frosting... It was good, but very rich...

After dinner, we went to walk at Plaza Singapura for a while... I collected my GV card... Gives me discounts and priority on bookings... So when you come back, we'll go watch movies OK... Haven't stepped into a cinema for the longest time... Don't think I'd be stepping into one soon either 'cause I'm jammed packed... Super busy... And going to be super zonked out soon... Well, while at PS, we went to take a look at Aussino... They're having sales now... Everything's going between 20%-50% off... Anyway, just walking in there makes me wonder what it's going to be like when it is us going shopping for our home when we get one... The bed spreads and everything else we'd buy for our bedroom, and in time to come, the kids' room... Think I should stop wondering now... If not, I won't come back down to Earth later... Anyway, after PS, we walked over to The Cathy to check out Gramophone... 'Cause Kevin was looking for DVDs... So we walked around there till about 2200hrs... Then we headed back home...

All of us took the NEL... While on the train, we were discussing about Father's birthday on Sunday... We were deciding on which vegetarian restaurant to go to... Then everyone 'assigned' me to organise it... Their rationale: you used to organise all these functions... So now that you're not here, I'm your representative... LOL... Then Winnie started teasing me about my nickname on MSN... LOL... Don't think you can see it 'cause you use web messenger... Well it reads "__days till your return... I miss you darling! BTW did you just.....? Are we gonna... ? Hmmm..." Very open-ended... So anyone can assume what they want... LOL... Well she assumed it to us getting married and all that (and that remains to be seen I guess)... LOL... Anyway, 妹妹 and Andy got off at Potong Pasir... I got off at Serangoon... And 姐姐 and Kevin and the family got off at Sengkang... I caught 70 home and reached at around 2300hrs...

Came home and went online immediately 'cause 妹妹 asked me to help her correct her mistakes on her RJ... Well did that and then went to wash up... After washing up, came back online to blog... Then 妹妹 asked me to help her with the topics that are going to be tested for her Understanding Test tomorrow... Well, I helped her look for the various theories online and we spoke till about 0045hrs... Almost an hour... The things they are doing are ridiculous la!!! It's freaking philosophy... Even I didn't have to do that in University... Well, luckily I could link the theories with my sociology theories to explain it to her... It's actually quite linked... So that's good... Once you understand the theory, everything else is common sense and application... So it wasn't too bad for me, although I couldn't help her in one topic 'cause I didn't have an adequate understanding of that subject... Oh well... So after hanging up, I started on this blog...

So that's basically my day... Pretty much the same routine... Nothing new yet... Well I'm waiting for your call now... You haven't called for the whole day now... I'm thinking it's the phone lines that are down... Hopefully it is that way... And I'm praying that you'll call... So if you feel a nagging feeling to call, that's probably your Guardian Angel telling you that the lines are up and that you should call - it'll probably be the message I sent via my Guardian Angel... Or at least that's what I'd like to think... Or rather what my faith has led me to believe (Sorry to all non-catholics out there who are reading my blog and find that last few sentences weird and are unable to comprehend them)... So anyway, I think I better hit the sack... Think my immunity system is starting to fall apart... Having horrible back and neck aches and starting to feel cold... So I think I should go to sleep now... So till then... I love you darling!! And I miss you Darling!!!

Day 39 of OBO... Wow!!!

Today was a pretty restless day for me... I was feeling quite tired... And very 'full-of-nonsense'... But then again, there's still that part of me that wishes you were here with me now to share all the excitement that's building up inside of me... Haiz... Oh well...

Anyway, I woke up to the phone ringing... That's you calling during your watch... That was about 0810hrs this morning... Well it was nice hearing your voice the first thing in the morning... Really made the day better... Anyway, I went to wash up and waited for Colin... He came at around 1030hrs... So that wasn't too bad...

We headed to office... And there was another accident on the CTE... Again... Sigh... What's happening to Singaporean drivers sia? They're becoming more and more careless... That's bad... Oh well... Anyway, we reached office at around 1050hrs... Got started on the catalogue... Put the accounts aside for now 'cause he wants this catalogue out by the end of the month... So must finish it by the end of next week... Haiz...

We went for lunch at around 1430hrs... Had really good curry chicken noodles at the Hong Lim Food Centre... Will bring you there when you get home (10 weeks and 3 days more!!!!)... After that, we went to the 7-11 at Boat Quay to see if they had the instant meals Colin's been looking all over for... Didn't find it at all... We then headed down to the jewelers 'cause Colin had a fitting for a ring he got them to make... It's a freaking nice design... It's similar to, or the same as, the Piaget design... Well, that place was a super exclusive place... They only see clients by appointment! But give them any design and they'll do it for you... And the workmanship is exquisite!!!! Oh well... After that, we to a client's office to collect a cheque and then headed back to office... By the time we reached office, it was already 1700hrs... Got back and carried on with the catalogue again...

During the afternoon, the Ritz called up saying they had received my request... For my parents' anniversary... And they also sent an email with the package prices and all that... Of course this would only be a budgeted amount... Must save up if I want it to be a grand affair for them... 25 years is a long long time... I also got a call from Drum Cussac about my job application... They want me to write 3 short essays on 3 different topics... And then from there they'll arrange an interview with me... And Colin also offered me a sales position... So right now, I've got 2 job offers on my hands... Both will be new to me... But at least with the job from Colin, I know his expectations and I'm already exposed to a part of the business... So it's left with learning the ropes of the trade and going out on my own after that to get sales deals... Both have it's pros and cons... It's just that my future in one's a bit more certain than the other... I spoke to you and mum about it... And I think I'll be giving both a shot... But I think I'd be more comfortable with working with Colin 'cause I'm a bit more familiar with the things we do and even more familiar with him, although there are certain implications... But like you said, I've got the gift of the gap and looks and I'm a girl and it's near to your place too... Hehez... Walking distance, in fact... So if we do decide to settle down and stay there, it'll be saving on transport already!!! Hahaz... I'm thinking too far... LOL... Distance wouldn't be a huge deciding factor just yet... So don't worry... Hehez...

Anyway, after work, I went for bible class... Colin dropped me off there... Class was quite dry today... The priest was repeating stuff from last week... But we made progress... Reached chapter 10 already... So another 17 more chapters and we'll be moving on to the next book... After class, I caught the bus home with mum... That's when you called and we discussed about the job... So ya... Oh well... Reached home and washed up and came online to blog... The usual stuff... Anyway, your watch will be starting again in another 1hour and 55 minutes (time now on my side's 0005hrs)... And you're probably going to pull me out of dreamland... But I don't mind... Day 38 of OBO... A tedious day...

My spirits are very high... It's filled with lots of anticipation and excitement... You've given me something else to look forward to... It's not just you coming home now... There's more to it now then that... I've been praying and my prayers have been answered...

I slept at 0150hrs last night... That was after we hung up the phone... Prior to that, I was browsing through one of the wedding planning guides of one of the bridal magazines that are sitting on my shelf... Well primarily is because my parents' wedding anniversary's coming up and it's going to be about time when I start scouting around for venues to hold the celebrations at... Having a Thanksgiving Mass is definitely a must... But I'm also thinking of probably having a dinner at one of the hotels for them and our family and close friends... Probably about 150-200 people... But knowing me, when I start thinking about such things, I think about how my own will be like... I wish for it to be a fairytale wedding... But obviously, given financial constraints, I may not have everything I wish for... Sigh... Will have to see when the time comes...

Anyway, I woke up around 0900hrs this morning... Went to wash up and went down to wait for Colin... Everyone except, Nat and Peter, was at home... Well, I told daddy that you bought him a cigar... Or was it a box of cigars? Can't remember... Anyway, he was really happy... His face lit up instantaneously... And then he said, "You are... Better not lead him on ah! He spend so much on you already!" Daddy's on your side!! That's a first... He's never been on the side of any of my boyfriends... You're the first... So I think you more or less know what he, at least, is expecting... *Hint Hint*... Hehez... Anyway, I waited for almost an hour and a half... Colin came only at around 1100hrs...

Well, on the way to work, we saw a bike crash on the CTE... The guy was like you... Knocked out on the floor... From the looks of it, I think he sustained head injuries... 'Cause they were putting a collar on him... Didn't see any irregularities in his limbs... But then again, who knows... Anyway, that caused slow moving traffic... What's new... Singaporeans are like that... One of the 'K's we're famous for... Kaypo... Hahaz... Anyway, we reached work at around 1115hrs... Got down to the accounts again... What I had to do today was to match all payments made to the suppliers' invoices... Super tedious figuring out which check is meant for what invoice... And some of it have no records whatsoever... So I had to trace it back to my MS Excel spreadsheet and then to the physical invoice itself... Sigh... That would finally be done by tomorrow... Next thing I need to do is also to match payments received with our invoices... Once that's done, all that's left would be Colin's catalogue... Then I'll be pretty much done with everything... And my workload there would be much much lighter...

Anyway, I stayed in the office during lunch 'cause I brought a sandwich and prunes... As usual... And while eating, I was surfing the Internet for hotel venues for mum's and dad's wedding anniversary dinner... Well, they said that prices for 2009 are not out yet... But they gave me quotes based on next year's prices... So I'm thinking if I mark that up by 10-20%, I should have a safer budget to work with... I also went to take a look at two other bridal websites... Haven't seen much of the content yet 'cause I needed to get back to work...

I stayed in office till about 1915hrs... Then we all left... Colin sent me to my music teacher's place... Did my theory... Exams are in less than 3weeks time... And I don't know if I'm prepared at all... I don't feel ready... Sigh... But what the hell... I hope I can do well for it... Haiz... Oh well... I stayed there till about 2215hrs... Then my music teacher sent me home... I went to 'scavenge' for food, ate a bit and then went to wash up... And you called just after I finished washing up... How precise... It's like somehow we're able to communicate with each other via telepathy... It's like even though we're so far apart, we're still on the same wavelength... Really crazy... Oh well... Anyway, after speaking to you, I came here to blog... So yup...

That's about all I did today... The same usual thing for a Monday... Nothing much... Well you're on your way back to the oil terminals again... Not really a secret anymore since I managed to find out about the whole operations on the US Coast Guard, US Marines and Australian Navy websites... So I figured that since it's such an open secret, it's not much of a secret anymore, and therefore, it is alright to talk about the general details of operation 'Iraqi Freedom' (This is my own name for the mission... Don't know if it is the real thing... If it is, then it's just pure coincidence)... The wonders of the Internet... Who knows what will be done next... Anyway, I'm going to bed now...
